Play this course again if you have not been here in the last 3 months. As a player who has written numerous bad reviews of this course, I am blown away at the changes over the last 6 months. In April I questioned if the owner was simply letting the course go and plowing it under. Bringing in a superintendent with capability, drive and leadership is what was needed. Chris has done an outstanding job in the face of meddling ownership and management. Somehow he convinced this team to provide the money to spend and spent wisely. Greens are great with some fringe repair still ongoing, tee boxes are good and there is a positive energy around the course. The owner continues to be a problem, micromanaging every move Chris makes and questioning why faster improvement isnt happening. This is a guy who seemed happy to have no grass on a golf course.

The Greens are a little slow, but they have really turned this course around and I am looking forward to playing it much more often!

This course has made great strides in bringing it back

to a condition that is more than just acceptable. It’s in good but not yet great condition.

In comparison to the immediate surrounding courses, it’s a better value.

Looking forward to the upgrade to the 17th hole and the complete repair of two or three more greens.

They are to be commended and encouraged

We chose this course because the recent reviewers said there was much improvement in the course conditions. Makes me wonder what it was like before. The layout and environment of the course was beautiful--lots of cypress tress and spanish moss, but the conditions were pretty bad. Lots of bare spots, weeds, and messed up greens. We enjoyed the day because we were pretty much out there by ourselves, but conditions need much improvement.

This was my first time attending the course after reading reviews that the course has had improved significantly the past few months. I can't speak to before but it was an amazing course that had just a couple greens that needed some TLC. The course layout was challenging and visually very appealing. I can't wait to revisit this course soon and will definitely be playing it a lot in the fall. It's a 45 minute drive for me and was well worth it.

Glad to see this course is on its way back. First time in five years I have played here. After reading all the bad reviews. It’s not a 5 star course, but it’s working on it. Greens weren’t bad they were slow. Some have patches and sand, but some were good. Tee boxes and fairways were decent. If the superintendent keeps going this way, it will be to where it used to be. Paid $25 bucks and it was hella worth it.

Course is much improved as others mentioned. I agree with the 70% commentary, as there are several greens that have some bad spots mostly around the fringes. #17 green pretty bad. Still a fair amount of improvement needed but very playable and enjoyed our round. Pace was very slow I believe to numerous’hot deals’ available ( I used one) And no ranger to move folks along. good value for 25 to 30$. Keep up the good work! We’ll be back.

My last visit here was earlier this year in February and the course was in the worst condition I’ve seen in a while. Now it’s very solid and worth playing again! The tee boxes, fairways, and especially greens have greatly improved. The layout of this course is spectacular and the staff is amazing. I look forward to playing here again soon

So happy to see my favorite course make a comeback. Still need some work, but it’s a 100% better than 6 months ago. Please keep it up!!

Definitely going in the right direction. Have played numerous times over the last few years. This was the best of it. Greens getting a lot better although very slow as expected. Fairways and tees growing in. Beautiful layout. Keep up the good work and this will be a gem again.

To put it simple 6 months ago I would rate this course a 2 star. today I give it 3.5 stars and if they keep it up soon it will be a 4 star course. Plus's Great staff, Great bar and grill, Nice course layout. Still a good price for the course. Also a big plus and great start on the effort to bring this course back to it's old glory days. Minus's, take into account the course director is working on these minus's. Greens are looking much better but still have total sand patches in some outlying areas. Same with fairways. Much better but still have patches of sand here and there. Also a negative but needs to be done. Much of the course is roped off due to management trying to bring back the lush green fairways. This doesn't hinder ball position just expect to do some moderate walking on some holes. This also, on some days, slows play. Overall I like this course and the improvements they have made in just 6 months. This course now is one of 3 courses in the Seminole/Volusia County Area that are my go to courses..P.S. Did I say a great and friendly staff and restaurant..

Greens were slowww. Patchy on some holes. Relatively good condition comparative to most in central Florida. If anyone working there is reading please mow the rough. Just a little. Most places you can find your ball. My ball rolled off fairway and still couldn’t find even in the first cut.

Course was is average condition, great layout. Greens were real slow and tons of weeds. Hope they get this course back to where it use to be. Exceptional!

This is one of my favorite Course Layouts, but as most of you know the course went way down hill. I read a review before I played that the course was back to about 75% and I have to agree, it is really looking up and we will be playing it quite often. Keep up the great work!

Course in alot better shape then the last time I played. Only had 2 greens in rough shape. The rest were good but very slow. Fairways and tee boxes were in nice shape.
