Victoria Hills Golf Club

I consider Victoria Hills, my home course, and even though I absolutely love the layout the conditions are rough. It’s better than it was a year ago but it’s nowhere near what it once was. I do hope that they decide to bring it back!

First time on this course and was pleasantly pleased with the staff, amenities, course layout and challenge. This course would have been a 5 had the course conditions been existent. We really enjoyed the course layout and the challenges it presented. This is what you golf for, right? If the fairways ever get a layer of grass, you would have a hard time getting a tee time the course would be in such demand.

Course in very poor condition. Fairways are dry and hard with many areas of only dirt. Greens are hard and fast with hard pan approaches.Played this course several years ago and it was beautiful. What a shame!

THE WORST! I've only played Victoria Hills for about 3 years but this is THE WORST I have eve seen this course. Greens & fairways are like concrete. Putting is like doing it on glass. I am astonished and totally disappointed how they have let this course go. Really a shame and I do not believe that "it is on the mend". Baloney! Be a loooooong time before I play Victoria Hills again.

Played on 3/19/23 front nine took 3 hrs. Had to wait at every tee box with a group on green , a group in fairway, a group waiting on tee box then our group, Skipped 3 holes to get around log jam played the last 6 holes in an hour and fifteen minutes. Ranger came by once on hole 3 but nothing in front of us ever changed. Course is good bad ranger or starter trying to squeeze to many groups in the same time period.

The bones of this course are absolutely fantastic, and the other reviews, which I read before we went there and played, were 100% correct. If only they would put water, money and TLC into this, it would be one of the best courses in Florida and people would pay $100+ to play it. It's scenic, and the neighborhoods through which it wanders are really well maintained. It's got elevation changes, and tons of pleasing looking bunkers. The fairways are burned up. Hard to tell sometimes where the bunkers begin and end. It's just sad. If you are a potential investor, please play this place and give it the glory it deserves.

the only things that were green were the greens. Many shots in the fairways and hitting of sand or hard pan. no pro shop, the course professional was rude and arrogant. Range wa same condition as course...hard to find a patch of grass to hit off of.

I would like to see the course in better shape and would really like to see a pro shop. I understand there used to be one. How about opening it back up. There seems to be room for it, please bring it back.

Tried yet again and conditions seems even worse. No grass in the fairways and they were actually mowing them, quite bizarre! No obvious maintenance being done to improve the conditions. They never reply on here on what they will be doing to improve it and even acknowledge the poor conditions. I will watch the reviews here and if they get better I will try yet again, meantime I will drive the 30 minutes to New Smyrna Beach were there are 3 courses better then VH a real shame! I know I am not the only one either that feels this way!!

This course used to be one of the nicest in Volusia county but it is now in horrible shape. Grass is pretty much non existent in the fairways and the greens are like putting on a marble countertop, running like 15+ on the Stimp meter. No pro shop anymore, check in at the restaurant bar. Don’t waste your time here.

You will see comments from the course saying "we are striving to improve", but have been saying the same thing since they bought it in 2020. The owner refuses to bring in the knowledge that will get the course back. The GM refuses to approve the money to buy the correct fertilizers needed. The head superintendent has no experience as a golf course super. The lawns of the surrounding homes look 10x better than the golf course. Where else does that happen??

Its time to sell the course to someone who will invest properly.

Dog track. No body is spending money on her maintenance of his corse. no grass on tees and fairways, greens bumpy like gravel and dead, sand traps not dressed in months, and the members don't rake them ever it seems, although they drive carts all over the coruse as the whole corse looks like pavement anyway. don't waste your money. such a shame, great layout one of my favs I stopped and played at on my way south a couple years ago. It got great potential, but I think the 2.5 year owner is trying to kill the course. too bad.

One of the few courses where the golf course wn he’s the neighborhood lawns. That’s all you need to know.
