Weeds on most tee boxes. Greens were very very poor. Understand dry conditions, but the fairways were brutal

Other than a few greens, the course is in horrendous shape

This used to be one of the best maintained and scenic courses in the area. They have given up. Very little grass anywhere. Not in fairways, not on tees, and even the greens are bad. Such a shame.

Course is in terrible shape. Such a shame. Everytime i play it it’s worse than the previous time. Hopefully they put some money into it which they surely have the money with the rates they charge.

We were surprised by the beauty of this location. There were rolling hills on the course which is unusual for many local courses. The course was abundant with sand traps on every hole. The layout was challenging and interesting but not to the point of being frustrating. The course is suffering from a lack of water. Both of us remarked how lovely and more fun it would be if they could green it up. We found the greens sandy, and the fairways were hard-packed. The rolling hills made it a challenge yet fun. We will go back but hope they can improve the conditions

I've golfed at this course quite a few times before. It's normally in pretty good condition. The last two times I've golfed here the fairways are hard packed dirt with very little vegetation. The greens have Big bare spots on them. To be fair it has not rained in Florida in about a month. And all of the ponds are down on water. But I seeing the sprinkler heads covered with dirt so they haven't been on in weeks. It doesn't look like there's any repairs going on, on the course either.

They also have closed their pro shop, and you have to pay for your round at the bar in the restaurant. They carry a very limited supply of golf accessories. It's a shame that a beautiful course like this has gone bad.

Hopefully this isn't another owner trying to close the course to sell the land for condos.

Very interesting layout. Due to very dry conditions course is suffering from lack of water, More sand than the Mojave desert. Greens were slick and hard to read. Whoever set the pins that day was a sadist. Having said that I wouldn't mind giving it another go in the future

I don’t think the course will reach a level of acceptability under the current ownership. Until then, I suggest marking the multiple unplayable areas as Ground Under Repair, e.g collapsed bunkers, grass- less fairways, grass- less areas around greens and putting surfaces filled with poannum or sod patches.

They also might consider a competitive annual and seasonal membership.

Because it appears you’ve lost the course.

Not ONE redeeming factor about the course leads me to believe ANYONE there is paying attention.

Tee boxes, fairways, greens, bunkers, carts.

NOTHING to brag on. NOTHING even in FAIR condition.

Very very disappointing.

I do like this layout and almost feel it would be just as aptly named Victoria Dunes. Staff was very friendly and pace of play was decent.

The fairways were VERY bare and this definitely detracted from the experience. The greens were plenty fast but pretty bumpy.

I’ll try it again and hope they improve the conditions.

This was one of our favorite courses in the area, I even scored my first hole in one here in 2019, but so sadly disappointed in its condition now…weedy greens, rock hard dirt in the fairway….not sure why the owners are letting it go downhill? Same thing happened at Indigo Lakes in Daytona, they kept the price to play high and let the maintenance slide and now closed and owners looking to develop….. ??

Course was in terrible condition. No grass on fairways or greens,, hard as rock, nothing but sand and hard pan. It didn't appear anything was being watered despite the ,many holding ponds on course. I was extremely disappointed in the conditions, It was challenging enough with the many, many bunkers and the terrible conditions compounded the difficulty.. The greens were so dry and bare, the speed had to be around a 15-16 on the stimp meter. Will NEVER go back.

This used to be the pride of Volusia County- now it’s overpriced, greens putt like the US open with the look of total neglect. Bunkers are not raked, tons of storm damaged trees, and weeds everywhere. At $55 your better off at Top Golf pounding beers!

This was one of my favorite courses in the area. Now it is like playing om hard packed dirt. Can not understand why is so hard to grow grass in Florida, but must be, because they have none.

Course has lots of sand traps and is challenging to play. Could use a few more linage markers and the fairways are a little dry and short on grass like a lot of the courses this year. The greens were like putting on vinyl tile, nothing to stop your ball, very tough to hole out if hole is on any kind of slope, sometimes ball would roll right back to you.

Where do I start. Nearly 5 hour round with approximately 40 players on the course, no course marshalling. Fairways should be called bareways. Greens were granulated no true roll.
