Victoria Hills could easily be called "The State of Florida's Garden of Golf,"- inland settings such as this are virtually unprecedented in this state. Yet while the splendor and natural beauty of the property are notable, this is not simply eye candy and lazy golf. Victoria Hills, as one player put it, "is a blast to play". In any evaluation, it's difficult to imagine how a golfer would not rate a round here as one of their most enjoyable in Florida.

Course is in very poor condition for a Florida course. Tee blocks were all misplaced. Fairways were hard and burnt.
Disappointed…
Made a tee time for 1:52 pm, my husband and myself.
Arrived, paid and put our clubs in a cart, ready to get 18 in. First tee, no tee boxes to be found until we drove up and found them on the fairway…which was true for the first nine. It would have been very nice to have known this before start of play.
By the time we made it to first par 5, there were FOUR groups on same hole. We learned from other players, (they were on the phone calling the Clubhouse), that there was a Scramble going on also. Each of those 3 other groups were on the phone. Long story short, we were so backed up, we knew we wouldn’t make our 18 and got 3 more holes in.
Pro was already gone but complained to cart shed gentleman (there is no starter) and bartender inside.
Just so poorly handled.
Oh, fairways and greens were pretty bad but we did recently have a freeze.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Pace of play complaint
Me and a friend had a 12:24 tee time on a Friday. Played in just under 4 hours. Good right? Well, front nine got stuck behind a foursome of slower ladies. No problem, lost them on the back 9. On hole 10 we joined with another 2some to create a 4some. Played 7 holes on the back 9 and ranger came and told us to speed up. With 2 holes to play that is completely unnecessary. There were a few 2somes behind us and could have asked to play through our 4some at any time. No need to have the ranger come out with 2 holes to play especially since we finished in under 4 hours after nearly 2.5 hours on front nine. Played this course dozens of times with no issue, im a huge fan of the layout, and the greens this past Friday were excellent. Just need to train rangers to use some common sense before rushing customers on the last two holes.

Great layout, poor playing conditions
This course is not in good shape. Most of the tee boxes were torn up and sandy while many of the fairways were filled with weeds and sand with not a lot of grass. The greens were average but not in good shape.
This course has so much potential and used to be very well maintained. I will come back when someone brings the course back!
great course gone to heck... sad it's so bad
this was such a great course but they don't have any staff to maintain course so it's gone... it's not worth 1.00 don't waste your time... I was embarrassed bringing my brother-in-law there
Going down hill
Course is in worst shape I've seen it in the past 6 months. Not worth the green fee. They "fix" things by covering it in sand. No sod. This course needs to get it together quickly. What a great layout but no grass in fairways.

It’s not a golf course !
Don’t know who owns or manage the course used to be a real challenge n decent one for past years, but not now hard to name it a golf course.
If they want it to open a golf club, better improve the course, or close it not to waist players’ time n money.

Golf course in terrible conditions
Probably the worst golf course in central Florida. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are not your typical golf courses. Dirt and sand are everywhere. Tee boxes are all dirt and sands. Sand is all over the green

Working on it
I've always loved the layout and now I almost love the course. The maintenance team has been putting in a lot of work to improve the course conditions. Greens are good, some of the tee boxes have been repaired, the fairway still needs a little work to fill in the bare spots but the staff remains great. Only complaint is the rack rate of $54 is way too high when compared to other courses in Volusia that are in better playing condition. Knock it down $10 and they'll be in line with other courses with similar or better conditions. Now, I wait on hot deals to bring the price into a more competitive range.

Not too bad
Course is bouncing back after all the flooding from the hurricanes. Greens are fast and in good condition.
Hopefully they will continue to make improvements.

Getting better, but...
We last played Victoria Hills in the spring and it was and terrible shape...I heard they had just lost their superintendent. We waited a few months and tried it again in December...the greens are certainly better, but the fairways still have some bare sandy spots. It will need to get better before we return...there are other courses around that charge less and are in better shape.
