when we got to the course they were so over booked that we had to wait a half an hour for a cart. when we got to the first tee it was in terrible shape grassless, uneven and could not find a level place to stand, in fact every tee box was like that. The greens were not in much better shape than the tees. The pace of play was very slow, standing around between every shot. I have played this course many times even played tournaments here this is the worst I have ever seen it. The cost of greens fees and the shape of the course makes it one that I would skip if wanting to play in the Tampa area.

Tee off 8:15, played in 31/2 hrs. Course was challenging with water and dog legs, conditions were good, 1 or 2 greens were spotty as well as a few tee boxes but for this time of year overall the course was in good shape

I've played here many times and I like the courses. Unfortunately these are about the worst conditions I have seen here. The tees are HORRIBLE and dusty. The greens are just OK and the fairways are generally thin.

Why am I not surprised? These courses possibly get more traffic than all the others in this area and the course is showing that it is tired and getting worn out as a result. It's a shame and I hope they can bring it back to where it was.

A friend and I played the Forest Course and enjoyed it. It is a great layout and plays well but the tee boxes need some work. Clubhouse is nice and the staff is friendly. Overall, a good golf experience.

Fairways are nice. Tee boxes are in dire need of work. It’s still not a growing season but I’m sure the new ownership has great plans for the course. The layout is really suited to all levels of play. We love coming here. Thanks guys

When you spend $65 to play a course and they pack it daily, you would expect some of that to be put back into the course. The majority of the tee boxes are chewed up, several greens had dead spots, the driving range was great practice for the tee boxes as there is nothing but dirt to hit from. This used to be a really nice course with lower rates for quality golf. It is now over priced and in worse shape than many municipal courses. Stay away until they get it back where it should be for that price. Or they need to drop the price. Played Wentworth a few miles away with prestine greens and average tees for 30 less the following day.

Tee boxes really need work they were in poor condition. Greens could also be better. Overall it’s still a tough challenging course with plenty of water. Still worth the money. As everywhere else around Tampa area the pace of play could be better..

This course is one of my favorites to play in the whole area. Pace of play was a little slower today but wasn’t bad. The only thing bad about this course is the tee boxes are always awful. A lot of them are just dirt with partial grass poking up.

Tees are in rough shape. A few greens are still under repair but mostly good.

The tee boxes were often just green painted dirt. The fairways were under watered. Our tee time was delayed 15 minutes. We waited on every shot. Sometimes there were three groups on a single tee box. All of this for $65. No thank you.

From start to finish, the experience was bad. We showed up 45 minutes before our tee time to warm up, only to find that they had run out of carts and we needed to wait about 30 minutes until two were returned. That would’ve been fine because we would just go to the range to warm up. Unfortunately the course was out of range balls for the day. Things didn’t get better when we started our round. The conditions were fairly poor (burnt out fairways, sandy greens/tee boxes, messy bunkers, patchy rough). The layout was average. The pace of play was shocking. Could not have been worse. The group in front of us was a fivesome, so we were waiting 5-10 minutes before every shot. The group behind us hit into us no less than 5 times. I realize that on Saturday afternoon it isn’t going to be quick, but holy smokes this was bad. We skipped the final three holes because we couldn’t take it anymore. Bad experience on a bad course. 0/10 would not recommend. We got a deal on golfnow and it’s still not worth it.

Not really sure what has happen here, but the tee boxes are destroy.

The greens are not good either

Pace of play is just bad, 9 holes 3 hours, we quit on the 9 it’s not fun to wait 10 min on every tee box.

This course has never been this bad, I have no idea what is happening, the slow pace of is something we all need to get used to.

So many people that never had a golf lesson out there, but is the new norm.

But the course looking that bad , that I have no idea.

Things started off kind of slow because it’s that time of year when we get a lot of visitors. But it picked up on the back nine and it was such a beautiful day that nothing could ruin it. The course was a bit rough in spots and the tea boxes need some serious work. However it’s a great layout and I love playing here. Her name intermediate user name OK oh images

Tee boxes were like a sandbox. Half the greens had ate-up patches.

Poor tee time planning 2 groups set t time for the forest 230pm had to stop at 14th t box already 630 and had a 41 minute delay to tee off very upset should have finished 18 holes by 630 but 5 holes behind in that time

I would have given it an overall 5 star if it weren’t for the fact that we had to wait past our scheduled tee time for a cart. This delayed our play and since we were in the afternoon we did not get to finish 18 due to cart issue, back up at each hole and darkness. Besides those issues the ‘forest’ course we played was well designed and challenging. Greens were set with some pretty backdrops. Plenty of deer and even a few gator sightings in water. I’d play it again

Played in the afternoon and pace was fine. Greens need to be improved definitely.
