About
Designed by Ron Garl and Gary Koch, the Forest Course at The Eagles Golf Club features the signature island-green sixth hole which rivals the famous 17th hole at the TPC at Sawgrass. The two outstanding championship courses at The Eagles Golf Club are kept in "tournament condition" year-round. As its name implies, much of Forest course winds through an impressive pine forest.

Problematic Carts
Golf cart died 3 times during the round, had to wait for staff to bring new cart, couldn't even finish the round due to waiting around. Instead of a raincheck or refund the the associate said we can come back and spend more money on another round to make things better... what a joke. Tee boxes are sand boxes and staff is unable to take care of customer relations. It's ashame to have such potential and throw it away. Charging premium rates for 1 star course and service. I hope they figure things out....

Course was very wet/damp. Greens were ok, but hand rough patches

The Forest Course greens in bad shape
I played Eagles Golf Club The Forest course on November 11.2021. I was very disappointed in the shape of the greens and a number of tee boxes.
I have been playing both the Lakes and the Forest courses for a number of years and have never seen the Forest course in this bad of shape before.
A number of greens were patched and others had bad spots that had been filled with sand.
We arrived at 11.30 am and were told there was a cart availability issue. The starter was good in keeping us us informed of cart status until we were allocated two carts around 12.40pm.
Never had a cart issue before at this course. Wondering what the issue was?
Will not play the Eagles Forest course again. Hoping the Lakes course doesn't have the same green and tee block issues.
Golf carts are crap 2nd time that the battery died on the course. I was angry

Poor Condition
Greens are in bad condition. Lots of greens are being worked on. Speed was slow. Tee boxes were not that great either. We were told that the GPS were not working on the carts because they were draining the batteries. Very disappointed

If you are local, better wait until the snow birds have fly back home
It’s been brutal..! Today was a 5 1/2 hours, it’s not fun, the course is the pace of play it’s just awefoul, terrible just terrible.
But is to be espected, it’s snow birds season, the price go up, and the courses are packed.
It’s fine, I’m a local so I just make tee times, where I know the birds have problems getting too., lol
We won’t be going back until December or January, it’s when things kind of go back to a 3 or 4 hours round.
One thing is good, you won’t be buying golf balls for a while this guys buy the expensive ones and loos then all, so go find all bunch of balls lol

Rough shape
Not as impressive as their website shows. The pro shop is nice and the carts are okay. We saw a lot of wildlife. Birds, gators, and deer.
Almost every one of the tee boxes was dirt. Not grass or sand, but dirt. A lot of the course is brown. About half of the greens aren’t even playable.

Eagles
Excellent layout, plays long…really enjoyed the greens…l was told the other course (Lakes) the greens are beat up?

NOT GOOD
The tee boxes and greens are awful. Some of the tee boxes were more like bunkers. The greens were a mess and very very slow. It’s been a few years since I played here and will not be going back. Pace of play was slow and didn’t see a Ranger all day. The only positive was the cart girls were very friendly. Definitely not worth the $40.

Poor greens
Nice layout, but the greens were in poor condition. Not worth over 40$.

Forest course
A number of the tee boxes and greens had significant bare areas.

Great layout
The courses in fantastic shape now that everything has dried out from the rainy season. the greens were rolling true fairways filling in and there's even . only downside to this is the driving range it's like a giant bunker with some grass growing on it but it'll do the job for a couple of swings before you tee off

Too slow
Twosome in from of us too slow. Foursome in from of them too slow. They should have rangers policing the slow groups and making them let faster players play thru. It’s very annoying waiting and watching slow players and honestly it disrupts my tempo and I get frustrated.

Slow play and poor conditions
5+ hour round stuck behind drunks passing around Igloo jugs of booze. Ranger did absolutely nothing to improve pace of play, despite passing 4 different times during the round. He was always happy to tell us about a poor shot he saw them hit. Absolutely useless.
A number of tee boxes are straight sand. Every green had numerous damaged areas and were not enjoyable to putt on at all. Cups looked like they hasn’t been moved all weekend.
$50 is too much for a round at The Eagles for the condition it’s in and the horrendously slow play. I enjoy the layout but won’t be back for a while.
