The course was great and staff was very nice
I played with my wife and my friend’s couple. Course was great condition. But green was little bit bumping.
However course view, fairway conditions and staff was great. I recommend this course.
Need ranger enforcement of very slow foursomes.
I had to leave with 4 hole to play, discovering, as I drove my cart back to the clubhouse, that 2.5 holes we open ahead of a slow foursome 3 groups ahead of me. Install GPS, track groups, and enforce pace of play, and this terrific course will be a much better experience.

Great layout, but overcharged given circumstances
As usual, I enjoyed playing Stonewall. On this particular day, however, there was some sort of kids clinic going on, and due to this the putting green, and bunker/chipping area were completely off limits to golfers before their round. I feel we should have been informed of this before our round (preferably by email, but at least when we arrived at the course), but it was never mentioned. The staff the day we played were uninformed and even when asked didn't have an answer for where we could chip or putt. My feeling was the round should have been discounted given this situation.

The Must Play Public track in No. VA
I’ve been playing golf for 30 years and I’ve played every public course in No. VA and Stonewall is hands down the best public course you can play in the area.

Great course and very accommodating staff
I showed up on the wrong the day to play. There was a scramble going on, while it was winding down, the very nice manger squeezed me in. He was so great about my mistake and even gave me some balls to warm up. Fantastic experience and kudos to the staff and manger (sorry can't remember his name).
Will definitely come back again.

Great even without seeing the entire course!
Really enjoyed the part of the course we made it through until the snow started! Looking forward to returning and playing the holes we don’t make it to. The clubhouse was nice and provided a warm dry place with excellent food!

1st Time
very challenging day because of wind, toughest 4( par 3s) of any course I’ve played , had to hit driver on one that measured 200 yards but played straight into the wind over water and waste area

One of the best overall courses for money in DC area
This course has a good course layout with a good variety of holes and challenging . Great course conditions (apart from recent green aeration’s) but this course is typically in great shape and always fun playing this course

A little surprised
At check in I was advised that the front nine was being aerated, so I’d have to play the back nine twice. On the 1st green (#10) I found that the front nine had been aerated the day before. Luckily, they used small times and the sand/fertilizer? Was more of a powder, so the greens looked unputtable but actually rolled true.
No mention of The maintenance on the GolfNow app. If so, I would have made my tee time elsewhere.

Stonewall is my happy place.
I love Stonewall and the folks that work there. The course is always in good condition and challenging. The chef in the dining room is excellent, and she has made extraordinary changes in the menu. Love her and the course.
