Stonewall Golf Club at Lake Manassas

I played on July 5th at 4pm. I just wanted to clarify green fee situation. I booked thru Golfnow for $46, when I check-in at the ProShop, they charged me $50 same as weekend rate. Because they consider observed is federal holiday therefore rate fallen into weekend rate. Per proshop manager that’s the GM’s rule. I didn’t find any where stated this rules posted inside nor outside of their pro shop. If that’s the case, they should have informed Golfnow prior to sell tee times.

Course condition was great and would play there again.

Staff inside were not nice but starter was awesome.

Undulating topography. Required course management.

I payed on a discounted rate and thought it was very worthwhile . Will play again any time I get a chance.

Stonewall is a great time out. Bring your game as you have Lake Manassas and giant homes there to distract you. Scorable if you put it straight off the tee. Got around in just under 4 hours, always a plus. Most players can have a go at the par 5 in two on 18.

This layout is very good, has great views and the greens are very good for a public course, but that’s about it. Carts are terrible and borderline not safe, staff was no help, not friendly and acted like you’re bothering them. The Marshal was all over us because a twosome in front of us played fast and we had open holes in front of us even though we were right on pace. $97 on a holiday, I’d much rather play somewhere else where you can enjoy it

My friends talked me into buying a mini membership for $99 early hours his year and I'm so glad they did because it allows me to play this course even more frequently than I normally would.

This is a well-kept beautiful course with very scenic views.

It's very challenging but well worth the money to play here!!!

Great golf course to play. Excellent layout along with magnificent views makes a round of golf at this facility exceptional. Will definitely play it again. Happy 4th

Played a day where air temp hit 96 and heat index was over 100. At noon the course adopted a cart path only policy to save wear and tear on the fairway and apply it to the customers instead. No water available on the back 9. Pace of play slowed dramatically, thus producing maximum punishment on their customers. Spoke to the manager who simply apologized for the lack of water availability. I have never experienced a policy such as this in the past.

I make the drive from DC to play this course. It's the best public course in the area within a 1 hr drive (depending on I 66). Scenic course around Lake Manassas...I love the peace of the place in a very high end community where you only seem to see the grass cutters and tradesmen....rarely do you see anyone (except the pool on the par 5).

The course is run 1st rate since the new owners took over and have reinvested in the staff and course. I'm okay with the bunker removal on 15.. There is a great range and practice area. The bar/restaurant is one other better supported by the neighborhood. Great views of the lake and 18th hole from the patio.

The course was in great shape....we do need to get more people fixing ball marks. Some holes are just like a teenage boy's face....I'm a bit OCD about fixing balls marks since my game is based around putting. The greens rolled pretty darn good for a day of super hot weather. The rough is getting a little burned out but hey it's been 3 days of 90+ degree weather There are still the occasional spots of dirt.or little grass around a few holes...I'd like to see those get fixed in the coming months....as some areas the grass is lush and tough to chip out. but again I am happier to see re investment in the course.

Overall Solid! A few hiccups, cart handling's was horrible....felt like driving a '53 Falcon. Conditions were extremely hot, but the course has been maintained well.

Love this course. Always in great shape. the course has a great variety of different holes with rolling fairways and challenging greens. It never disappoints

It was in the 90’s today and there was no water on the course. This is inexcusable for such an upscale facility with pricing to match. After our round we reported to the pro shop there was no water and he said there was. He couldn’t have been less interested. There was a cart girl going around the course with water bottles to purchase but we shouldn’t have to rely on that.

Course as usual was in great shape, but the 7 of us left very disappointed with the Stonewall management.

The guy at the starter with a mustache and beard had no customer service skills at all. I got there 40 mins early so I could get a cart and go to bag drop to pick up my clubs. I saw my cart with time start and checked in. There was no key in the cart so I asked the guy with the beard for a key and he said he would get me one and walked away from me. I asked the lady that was there and she gave me a key. I pick up my clubs and drove up to the driving range. The guy with the beard ran up to me and said wheee do you think your going you don’t tee off until 12:10pm . I told him I just wanted to warm up and that I wasn’t going to the first tee. He was very rude and told me to pull it off to the side where I was going anyway. When the other 2 that were in the foursome showed up at 12:02pm this same guy would not give them a key for the cart because he said it was to early for the 12:10 tee time. I think you need to teach this guy some guest service skills.
