Excellent Layout But 5 Hour Round
Played a few months ago and the course was in so so shape with all the play. Today it was in excellent shape!! Course has recovered nicely. Going to make a point to play this course at least 4 times a year (I like playing different courses within a 2 hour drive of Leesburg, VA). Greens were rolling fast and true. Only drawback was it took us 5 hours as we waited on every shot. But to be able to play a high caliber course in late November is a treat. Can't wait to play it in the summer of 2021! Kyle Backers was great to us! Go Wolfpack!!
Hard greens
Greens were in good shape but very hard and faster than anything I've played on before. Took some getting used to.

Windy day at Stonewall
The course was in excellent condition, lush fairways and excellent greens. The views of the lake give you a beautiful scene for playing golf. The weather was cold and windy but still a great day on the course. Being retired we tend to play at Stonewall in the winter because the summer rates are too high. One of the best local public golf courses in northern Virginia in terms of challenge and quality.

Country Club experience
Played 9 on a twilight rate. $37 is a bargain for 9 holes on a course of this quality. Tee boxes and fairways were a little “furry”, but greens were well kept and rolled true. Very green right now with great views of Lake Manassas and sister course RTJ where they’ve held several President’s Cup tournaments.

Still Awesome
Love playing this course. Layout can be tough but fair. However, what is the deal with the carts? Steering the cart was so hard! Its like a car that lost power steering fluid! I think I wore out my shoulder!

Good. Shape, very nice layout, great value
One of the better layouts in NoVa. Good late season shape. Pace could be better but 4 hr 15 min not terrible. Keep up the good work SW

A great play
Stonewall remains one of the great courses in the DC area; it is not only an excellent layout on Lake Manassas, but also kept in superb condition by the staff. I look forward to paying there several times a year.

Reliably Great
Despite evidence of lots of play, course in decent shape. Layout among the best in the area. Sand traps need some attention. Gorgeous in the Fall ! Fantastic, friendly staff

Stonewall Senior Golf League
Been playing the Senior Golf League every Wednesday from April to October for 6 years; 40 members and they all enjoy playing the course. Ed the Sup and his Crew keep the course in great shape - fairways, rough, greens and bunkers but they do need additional sand. But we are supposed to avoid the bunkers. League golfers enjoy playing the course as it always seems to be in good shape. Challenging course; the layout provides some very interesting and challenging shots regardless of the tees that you play. One of the best public courses in the area. Try it; you will enjoy it?

Great Round
Stonewall is a beautiful course of private club caliber. They don’t crowd the tee times, so pace of play and group spacing is very enjoyable.

Very challenging
Course was in excellent condition. Very challenging course. Beautiful fall colors. Good pace of play.. Friendly staff. Only time I played a course that had a fog delay.
