PGA WEST Greg Norman Course

Course is in terrific shape, staff outstanding. Many tough holes and plenty of sand. Just wasn't expecting 100 degrees in April!

The Norman course at PGA West, personally my favorite of the public courses was in wonderful condition, but the greens were incredibly firm. Tee boxes and fairways were lush and green. The greens however were very fast and very hard. Like cart path hard practically. I know they are new and still getting their legs, but time and time again well struck approaches would not hold the greens. I’m sure in due time they will get them dialed in though.

Pace of play was fantastic. Playing Saturday afternoon of the Coachella Music Fest most likely kept the others away. Lucky us, because we had the whole place to ourselves and had a fabulous time. Highly recommend.

I would play this one again. Water got me a couple of times. Check your on board GPS before you play each hole.

Enjoyed the course. More playable after recent renovations. Directions from map it took us to private course clubhouse in PGA West. Frustrating waste of 15-20 minutes.

Love the GPS with Bluetooth. Had problem controlling the volume.

Played this course 3 years ago. Was superb. This time greens have been relaid and super firm and impossible to hold the ball. Chipping a lottery. Fairways a bit too lush. Like playing out if semi rough. Too much sand in bunkers. Ball plugged on face of very steep bunker. Shame. Course layout and overall facilities great.

First time playing this course. I have played other PGA West courses and they have been excellent. The golf shop staff was just fine. Friendly, welcoming, a delight to see. The starter was the opposite. He was very rude, not interested in giving us any course hints, even after we told him we have not played there before. Just told us to hurry up as he had 50 other golfers waiting to play. Course was OK, but rough was not maintained for PGA standards. Greens were slow, rock hard, and again, not up to PGA standards (we played Nicklaus course the next day, and it was in fabulous condition). Play other PGA courses when in the area.

great course and top notch staff. staff was friendly and helpful. way to go with all of the rounds you guys get.

This course was decently laid out. Unfortunately it is totally unfair presently. The recently redone greens are WAY too firm: impossible to hold. BTW: I’m a 4 and the ball high and with spin. Next year after they are able to aerate the new greens … it might be playable.

Nice layout but the greens are not grown in and are like concrete. Green fees much too high for those green conditions

The pace of play was very slow, never saw the refreshment cart, low caliber players and the pro shop and restaurant were closed at 5:30!
