SCHLOSS Roxburghe Golf Course

The course was excellent, very scenic and a great variety of holes. The course itself was in great condition, friendly staff and good facilities. Highly recommended.

Played here yesterday on the last day of a 4 day weekend of golfing. overall condition was good with the exception the greens. They looked as though they were verticut or tinned but there were deep track lines which impacted the putting surface. Have played here before and it’s normally a fantastic standard. Only issue I have is the information wasn’t shared before we booked when we called the course. Course maintenance is part of golf, would be good to know before booking.

Outstanding course. Loved it! One of the best courses I've played. Greens were perfect. Challenging it's really long even off the yellows, loads of bunkers to make it even more tricky but what a course can't recommend highly enough.

This gem is definitely worth the trip to get there. Excellent layout and course conditions. Suitable for all level of golfer with various tees to play from.

If you're playing it for the first time some tee shots can catch you out with hidden hazards and blind tee shots but other than that, it's a very fair test.

My only negative is there is a fair walk between most holes making it a long walk, worth thinking about sharing a cart.

Will definitely return

Layout is superb,long course but never boring.Loads of bunkers.

Played this course for the first time today . Corse layout is very good with fantastic greens . The whole course is in fantastic condition very well maintained a credit to all the green keepers involved. The staff in the pro shop and clubhouse where all really friendly as where the members . One of the best inland courses around . Hopefully be back again soon

The course is in fantastic condition, the greens and approaches are just incredible. The layout is great, each hole feels so secluded and the contours of the fairways and greens are a real treat to navigate your way around. I found it to be a great mix of holes in terms of length, it's a must play!

There are lots of challenging holes and well placed bunkers.

I've played here many times over the years and this is the very best condition I've played it. Immaculately manicured. Quiet when I played.

This course is tough for a walking senior golfer off 11.3!

Long walks and long holes, but this doesn't detract from the thoroughly quality experience.

Play if you are reasonably physically resilient and/ or a decent player. A buggy would help.

Great variety of holes too.

Always a fantastic course to play what ever time of the year, a credit to all staff.

As always The Roxburghe is a delight. Nice welcome at the clubhouse, course in great condition, loads of greens staff working hard. A true test of your game, but also a fair test.

I played here many years ago and wanted to bring my son to show him what a great course it is.

The course itself was as I remembered it, but I was really disappointed in the condition of the greens with what appears to have been a recent hollow timing process leaving the greens very slow and very bumpy. Although my son really enjoyed the experience, the greens did detract from a great afternoon of golf.

It would have been nice to have been informed of the situation before we went out, although all the staff were very pleasant.

It wouldn't stop me from recommending the course, but i will call up next time to make sure no major work is being carried out.

I played during a horrible downpour which would have been ok but all the greens were aerated and they were in the process of doing the tee boxes which meant hole 9 and 10 couldn’t be teed on. I wasn’t told any of this by the shop. Such a shame the course is amazing for views and layout and was on my bucket list. Very disappointing.

Excellent course in Excellent condition excellent greens.

Have to hit the fairways to score well.

Plenty of bunkers so that part of your game has to be up to speed.

Nice picturesque signature hole.

If in the borders a must play course.

Could not fault the course and would be a pleasure to play again.

Visited last year during renovations, and was disappointed.

But back to its best, course in great condition and had a great day.

Fabulous weather day and course in excellent condition for time of Yr- 4th time playing this great course and I'm never disappointed

Couldn't fault anything and as a sole player, I was invited to play through 3 seperate 4 balls which was a nice touch and everyone on the course seemed happy to be playing in the sunny weather

Really windy day in March but course was in excellent condition. Staff - from pro to greenkeepers - were friendly and throughly professional. We can’t wait to go back.
