About
SilverRock Resort is the city of La Quinta's first municipal golf course. This Arnold Palmer Classic Course is the home course of the Bob Hope Classic. At 7,239 yards, it is the longest course in Palm Springs and one of the longest courses on the PGA Tour. SilverRock sits right at the base of the Santa Rosa and Coral Mountains, which provide a stunning backdrop for every hole. It is closer to the mountains than any other public golf course in the area. The rugged landscape provides rocky outcroppings and massive native bunkers to contend with throughout the course. Beautiful water features also come into play on several holes. The SilverRock layout is challenging but the widths of the fairways are fair and playable and the holes are diverse enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels.

Top tier course
This course was picturesque with fairways that were like carpets and excellent fast greens. There is still considerable development that is ongoing around the course. Thus, the resort remains a work in progress but the course is fantastic. The course was busy and as my wife and I were paired with another couple the total playing time was 4 hrs and 20 minutes from a 12:00 start.

Course was in rough condition
Way too many construction workers on or near the course3 plus maintenance crews were in the way on almost every holePlace was a circus. too many rude workers.

Pleasant Surprise
We booked a tee-time at SilverRock without doing any research on the course because all the other local courses were full. When we showed up to a trailer that serves as the pro shop, we thought we may have made a mistake. But, we had a great day on the golf course at SilverRock. The course was in good condition and it's an interesting layout. The starter got us out in front of a large group and even though the course was full the pace of play was good for the first 6 holes, then slowed down. Overall, a great golf experience for the price and we will be back.

Second time playing here
This course is nothing short of amazing!
All the reviews that talk about construction and clubhouse being a trailer. Forget about it. You’re not playing on the construction or in the clubhouse.
The course is awesome! It’s very challenging. Bunkers are a fluffy sand which is great! If you don’t want to be around construction then don’t go. I golf once a week and I go everywhere. I enjoyed this course! I drove an hour to get here.

Disappointing...
I was really looking forward to playing this course for the first time, seeing so many great photos of this track on social media. Tons of construction going on right now, unfortunately another course being ruined by developing homes so close to some of the holes. It didn't help that the greens were just top dressed, and of course, no indication that they would be upon booking our tee times. I don't know how courses can do this to the public, and still pay a premium price for these conditions, especially when majority of the golfers there are probably on their vacation. The poor guy I played with drove 3hrs, to spend one night in the area, on his birthday, and this was the course he selected, such a shame. Other than the greens, the course was in excellent shape, but too many blind shots from the tees, too much guessing where to aim, even with the GPS. The 5 courses at PGA are much more desirable.

I have played eight different courses from Escena to Tara Largo on this trip. First time ever playing Silver Rock and it was my favorite. Give the property two years to complete construction, and Silver Rock will be the best experience in the desert

Generally in good condition. A little dry on fairways and green surrounds. Greens were in general in good shape. Enjoyed the layout and challenge. Would play again. Few clubhouse amenities as under construction 8
