SilverRock Resort

I’d played Silverrock before and enjoyed it. The bones of the course are still there although you have to play around a significant construction project taking place. They’ve modestly altered the course to allow for the project; I expect this is temporary. Good Palmer design, well maintained, good pace of play. Sand traps could use some additional sand.

Course conditions were great. Green side bunkers poor. Poor course awareness by ground staff. Lack of restrooms . We finished the round in 4:20 minutes from the tips , the Marshall was overly aggressive with pushing the pace of play on the front nine . Course charging resort prices for no amenities of a resort.

We had an enjoyable round at a well landscaped course! If you want to play at the beach, this course is for you! A plethora of bunkers and wastelands line the every fairway! We played the round in 4.5 hours but did not wait on any hole but one. The staff was very friendly which makes a great start to your round. Would recommend this course to anyone visiting Palm Springs

Marshall told our 4 some to speed up because 3 some behind was complaining. We were right behind the group ahead and on pace to finish in 3 hr 50 minutes-which we did. He obviously didn’t pay attention to pace of all the golf groups.

We had a foursome. Unfortunately the starter decided put a member group in front of us since we weren’t at the tee box earlier than 5 min before our tee time. He said he needed to go over the course rules with us. We aren’t new to golf and fast players and typically don’t go to the practice facility prior to golf and especially on this windy cold day. He said they are regulars and he decided to put them in front of us. The round was extremely slow and we were waiting on every shot. We tried to get a rain card for another day and they couldn’t accommodate us for another day. It turns out we only played 13 holes and decided to walk off since the round was getting even slower as time when on. We probably wont come back.

Silver Rock is a great golf track with very challenging holes and fantastic scenery.

I Golfed at Pete dye dune course and several others. Those ones had amazing layouts and has she had amenities in the surroundings were nice and had a proper resort feeling at the clubhouse. For the price they were definitely lacking this

I think for the price is definitely better courses that offer similar or better course layout/definitely better clubhouse experience – definitely better amenities experienceQ

Still has a lot of construction around the perimeter that’s a tad confusing, but the course is a delightful golf experience.

My only complaint is there is so much construction going on. I guess you can't stop what is supposed to be progress. The layout and course condition is tremendous.

Course Is always a challenge. A few patchy greens otherwise in great condition.

Over the past 9 months, I have played 44 different courses in Southern California. SilverRock far and away was the worst experience of any course I have played. Funny because it was also the most expensive green fee I have paid in the past year. Very disorganized at the start, when you drive up to a temporary shack of a clubhouse. I knew there was construction going in but it really did alter the experience. They sent my group off before my tee time so I had to meet them on the first fairway. As a single, they dont let you take your own cart so I was forced to ride with a random. Guy did not stop talking about his golf game the whole round, sending veiled remarks and acted like he was the god of the course because he was a "member" of this public course. Mind you he shot 88. All of this could have been avoided, if you pay $150 for a round at least let me take my own cart, ridiculous. Let's talk amentities or lack thereof. Very limited water selection, cart girl didn't even want to give me water and gave me one bottle to "fill up". Classy stuff. Course has a bankrupted feel and the service matches that. I cant believe they are trying to build some hotels here, sounds like a nightmare. Course conditions were solid, but the greens were very patchy - not great. Layout is a mess, and its not surprising the tour left this course at the AMEX. Yeah there are some scenic holes but don't be fooled. This is a muni charging exorbitant prices. La Quinta Mountain course was a far better experience. Lots of better options in the desert than this place.
