About
SilverRock Resort is the city of La Quinta's first municipal golf course. This Arnold Palmer Classic Course is the home course of the Bob Hope Classic. At 7,239 yards, it is the longest course in Palm Springs and one of the longest courses on the PGA Tour. SilverRock sits right at the base of the Santa Rosa and Coral Mountains, which provide a stunning backdrop for every hole. It is closer to the mountains than any other public golf course in the area. The rugged landscape provides rocky outcroppings and massive native bunkers to contend with throughout the course. Beautiful water features also come into play on several holes. The SilverRock layout is challenging but the widths of the fairways are fair and playable and the holes are diverse enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels.

Poor green conditions - too much construction going on around the course - wait a few years for this course

Disappointed
All the construction. Too much right now. Maybe in 8 months when it is done. They should be discounting the price. 16 green is a mess. 18th hole is shortened. Just not a $130 course right now. Starter was great.

Beautiful mountains
SilverRock is at the base of some extremely rugged rocky mountains. The back nine was particularly beautiful. I put a lot of value in the natural setting of a course and while the front nine had surrounding civilization the back nine was largely the course surrounded by nature. There is quite a bit of construction going on around the course which did distract but that is a temporary situation and they seem to be doing what they can to mitigate.

Overrated
This golf course is overrated. There is no clubhouse. There was maintenance in our way on 2 holes and we played at 11:20. The range is a long way from tee #1. There is construction going on all around the perimeter of the course. The #16 green is dead and unplayable. The # 18 hole is terrible. It’s 282 yards and holds up play. This hole finishes a mile from the parking lot.

Good course
Silverrock is a great course...when there is no construction going on...with the construction it is a pretty good course except for the 16th green which is unacceptable.

Should have been up front with players.
While I understand the construction going on, I think the course should have told players about the process. One par 3 on the back was dirt painted green. We got a taste when the practice putting green was the same way. I had played .many times in the past and was looking forward to the great course it once was. If you want to play this course again, wait till the construction is over. For the fee charged, it was a waste.

Beautiful course!
A beautiful course to play! They were under construction and did everything possible to make up for it- a makeshift proshop was acceptable. One green was totally awful but they told us about it in advance and it was due to construction. I have no doubt that when the project is done, it will be even more beautiful! Be ready to pay the price for it! I do say it's worth it!

Back nine confusing ,under construction and not fun to play. 16th green a disaster . Hopefully when construction is finished it will get back to where it used to be.
