Bumpy greens/dried out grass
I played Alondra Park GC a lot many moons ago but I hadn't played it in many many years until this day. The course layout has changed since I last played, and I think it's improved. The greens are great on about 4 or 5 holes but incredibly bumpy and poorly maintained on the rest of the wholes. The grass is very dry and hard all throuout the course, which is great for a nice long rolling driver shot but terrible when your approach shot feels like you're hitting from a driving range mat. Also a few holes had large muddy puddles of water in the middle of the fairway. If you hit a nice tee shirt down the middle you shouldn't be punished by a muddy watery fairway. But it was a decent value and in much better condition then The Links at Victoria though not as nice as Chester L. Washington GC.

Slow bumpy greens
This course isn't so bad but it's a lot better when they take care of the greens. They were super slow and bumpy which makes it a frustrating round. The staff was friendly enough and I'll come back to play just because of the location but I sure hope they do a better job of keeping up with the greens

Reopening
They are still working to get the course in good shape after the shutdown. Greens are soft and a little slow. They've cut down the rough along the fairways. A few weeks ago, i lost two balls in the rough. Great value and easy to get a tee time.
Nice 'go to' course
Played weekday morning - easy to make reservations, check in and start. Pace of play was excellent - great course to walk - not too strenuous but kept the heart rate up. A couple of greens could use some TLC, but otherwise a very enjoyable day.
Great to get my legs back
Easy to make reservations and get on the course. With the restrictions the course is more open than in the past, keeping the pace going. Overall the course is in decent shape, the exception being the greens on certain holes. The back 9 had lots of sand on the greens and many were in need of repair. This course is a good one to get your legs and swing back in shape.

Cut the rough!!!
I’ve played this course a few dozen times, but today it was just brutal. They have not mowed the rough in quite some time, so if you miss the fairway you are trying to hack out of U.S. Open type rough. And with the heavy winds, it is very easy to miss the fairways…

It appears the house was not well maintained during the shutdown. The rough was high and difficult to hit out of and even harder to find your ball. Everyone in our foursome lost at least two balls. The fairways were like concrete and the greens were very mushy. LA County courses don't seem to be as well maintained as LA City courses. Glad I only paid $11.

Fun round, very friendly stater and staff.
I always enjoy playing out at Alondra. There are a few holes that can give you a real challenge, especially in the afternoon of the wind picks up. Only issues is the greens are a little spongy and bumpy and sometimes pace can be a bit slow. But with so few courses left in the area that’s to be expected. The starter (can’t remember his name right now ) is always really friendly and accommodating which makes for a great start to my round every time.

Fun walker
It’s a sunny 72 degree winter day in LA. Perfect for a walk in the park. That is exactly what you get playing this course. Not CC but adequate fairways and greens. You may not find your ball if you hit it in the rough. Too many leaves. Fun no issues on the front 9. The back 9 a group decided they were going to only play back 9. They fell in behind our group. I guess they wanted our group to hit into the group in front of ours like they did us the first 3 holes. They could not find their balls on the third hole after one hit 5’ beside me. Did not have an issue with pace for the remaining 6 holes. Turned out to be an enjoyable round other then the little blip.

Alondra Park - Good local course
The greens were in the best condition I can remember, and I have played here for many years (it is the closest 18 hole track to my home). The fairways were a bit mushy due to recent rains. It is a fun track to play as it requires a variety of shots, but avoid those sand traps - they do not have much sand - most county courses don't.
Alondra Park
Greens are in great shape; fairways could use a little more water. Pace of play was very good today, about 4 hours. Three coyotes on the first fairway was a bit of an issue, but otherwise a good day of golf.

Convenient
This is a nice course for easy access two courses on one property. 18 reg and 18 par 3. Decent layout. No real hazards. Pace of play slow do to saturation.
A little more challenging than it looks
