Fairways in good condition, first couple greens had water issues and I'd played after a 5 day dry spell so I think this is an issue that's always present but after that the greens are nice, good course lay out friendly staff, all in would definitely recommend

Had a great day at Crow Wood, thoroughly enjoyed the course, nice layout & mix of holes and kept in v good condition

The greens were in decent shape but some of the tees and green surroundings weren't great. Looked like a course that needs some TLC.

Layout was ok but personally not a fan of holes that cross over or starting with a par 3, though quite a nice par 3.

No real signature hole. Glad I tried it but won't be rushing back I'm afraid

After playing Crow Wood for the first time some three weeks ago, we were excited and really looking forward to returning there once again. Last time we played we were all in complete agreement that we had found a little hidden gem of a course in the West of Scotland. Today proved truly disappointing, as most of the greens were in what can only be described as something of a mess. I don’t know what has happened to them over the past three weeks? It would appear that the greens have been shaved and mowed down much too far, which has resulted in almost dead patches everywhere, on what just three weeks ago were immaculate greens. We were left speculating that perhaps the Head Green Keeper may have gone off on holiday after the recent club open competition, thereby leaving inexperienced staff who have caused such damage to the greens. Today we played in temperatures approaching 25 degrees, and were faced with many of the greens being over seeded in many areas This is an obvious somewhat futile attempt to try and regrow the shaved areas in the height of a current heatwave. I don’t think however that you need to be a qualified groundsman to realise that with such heat and very little moisture this may prove somewhat challenging. It was indeed disappointing that we were not pre warned about the issues with the greens. I fully appreciate that the greens will in time fully recover, but we were left with a totally different impression of what is a truly lovely course…

Course was in great condition and the greens quite quick.

Food was excellent and staff very pleasant. Will play again.

Course presented very well, greens in particular smooth and fast. Pace of play perfect in that no waiting or anyone close behind. Staff very friendly and a nice sunny patio overlooking the putting green to enjoy a refreshment

Condition of course was decent considering the recent weather, layout ok, not so keen on holes that cross over each other, otherwise good tree lined park course. Friendly staff but no stroke saver. Didn't use the facilities hence can't comment. Would happily play again.

As a former member of the club. I’m playing now as a casual player. The improvement in the course means it’s a joy to play.

The condition of the greens is a significant improvement from last season. This is due to the hard work of the greenkeeping staff under Ali’s stewardship.

A friendly welcome is always afforded by all the staff at Crowwood without exception. With excellent facilities and a practice areas and a driving range to boot. I can’t recommend the course highly enough.

Nice course with some good variety in the holes,. Greens were very good condition. Tees were quite poor for this time of year and fairways were showing the signs of the drought having not been watered enough.

Al in all a good course, but a little rough around the edges.

Loved the course. Great condition and the greens were fantastic. Only downside was stones in the bunkers, thankfully only landed in one.

Great guy and he gave me tips on where to play my shots. Even gave me some tips on my grip and my swing. Very friendly guy.

Overall I'd recommend this course to anyone and I will most definitely be back in the not so distant future.

Good value for money however it is really hard to gauge pace of greens as they are really really quick and the hardness of the fairways made it difficult to get fully contact of the ball. Overall a good course and well maintained

One of the best courses locally for the money we paid. In great condition with some really nice holes.

As former members my friend and I returned to play this course. We had not renewed our membership because of the general condition of the course through last season.

However that was last season! What a significant in the condition of the course.

Ali I and his staff have worked their magic over the winter. The condition of the course is magnificent! The greens are a joy to putt on.

The fairways are returning to their former glory.

In conclusion, the course is in fantastic condition. I was astonished at the improvements in the course preparation. Well done Ali and your team.

I Cannot recommend highly enough this course, so much so, we are looking to rejoin.
