Mount Vintage Golf Club - Chester Course

The young woman working in the pro shop was rude from the very beginning. It was the first time that I had brought my wife. I was very disappointed in the treatment we received.

The service on my first trip on 10/15/2023 wasn’t much better. Until, he realized I going to spend money on clothes.

It’s just disappointing to go to somewhere like Mount Vintage and get treated like that. I spent several hundred dollars too. I’m not how much I will be going back.

Course was in great shape. Greens were slick and rolling so good. Staff was a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend getting a round here asap!

Sunday during football season or just the day we played was a perfect amount of golfers on the course. It was full but a full 12 min pace was playing nicely along. Would have like to have seen staff out on the course for how great the rest of the experience was at the clubhouse. Golf course was in phenomenal condition with the long cut playing tough and the fairways still tough due to the sloping layout. It was consistent, challenging, and overall great for the price!

I have played Mount Vintage several times throughout the spring and summer. The course conditions were as good as I’ve seen. fairways were in very good condition and gave plenty of roll. The greens were quick, but smooth. The staff is friendly and helpful. I enjoy the practice facilities. The range has green areas with flags and bunkers.. They have two short game areas including one with a practice bunker. I typically use these before and after the round. I will definitely go back. The only negative is a few bunkers seem to have had sand added to them recently and they were a little fluffy. Otherwise no complaints.

I don’t live in the area, but usually make the trip to play this course at least once a month.

I played late in the afternoon, after a pretty large tournament. Had the course almost to myself. As usual, it was in excellent condition.

Played a late afternoon round on a holiday weekend and still finished my round under the 4 hour mark. Course in good shape. Range balls not included in the hot deal I booked but was offered a 10 dollar range fee in the clubhouse if I wanted

This course was a small drive outside of Augusta, but well worth it. The course itself was in great shape, but the cart paths had a few rough spots. Overall a nice course to play!

Overall course was in great condition. Layout very nice. Lots of elevation changes. First time playing here in about 20 years when it first opened. Overall impressed with course and condition.

It was an extremely hot day when we played. A big negative was there were no water coolers on entire course and no cart drink service. Pretty much unacceptable around here this time of year. Starter should at least make players aware of that when heat is like it was when we played. give them opportunity to hit the snack/grille area for drinks.

One other negative is the rough. Unless you are getting ready for a tournament or just had one it was way too tall and thick for recreational play. Our whole group of mid to lower handicaps (10-18) made mention of it. Very hard to find a ball off the tee if you hit into it and unless you are highly skilled you cant get much more than a 9 or PW on ball to get it out. Would make course much more enjoyable if it was cut down a bit.

You have a very nice course and layout> Just need to get water on it and maybe just cut that rough down a bit for us mere mortal players. Water is the big issue though. Its too hot to not offer water coolers or cart drink service. FYI, we played mid morning on a Sunday.

One of best courses in our area. It is a real value, it is challenging, has great green and a welcoming staff

Played Cupp at Woodside the day before thought this track was comparable to that. With the edge going to Woodside headed to head obviously. Loved the views from some of the elevation changes on the course. The craft IPA beer is a winner as you will be if you play here.
