Clydebank Clydebank

Great course to kick us off with for the start of our season. Arrived nice and early for an 0800 tee off. Great to see a mix of members and visitors alike all eager to take on this cracking course.

Only thing that was a let down was Winters mats and no fairways with some holes on tee mats too, possibly just 1 week away from full season so poorly timed on our part.

Greens on the front 9, very sandy but the back 9 immaculate.

As a group we love this course, it’s always our go to if we can get one elsewhere and the staff in the pro shop are the best about. No hassle, actually making visitors welcome and that we’re not a stain on the club.

Great Round at C &D

What started as a very damp, misty morning turned into a pleasant afternoon of golf with three friends at Clydebank and District. The course was exceptionally quiet so we enjoyed a leisurely stroll as the weather got better. The course was in fine condition, greens running well, all bunkers raked and overall well worth the £13 paid on GolfNow (early booking cost, two weeks in advance).

I would recommend the course for any intermediate player as it is not too demanding.

It’s alright

The course is well kept with a couple of challenging holes. Got a bit boring as there are lots of straight par 4s which are very similar

Over booked

Pro in the shop took a while to come back from somewhere and advised our 2 ball we booked was actually a 4 ball with two strangers. Apparently a golf now issue . We agreed with the pair to separate and keep a good pace but a 4 ball up front killed pace. We had to miss a hole to overtake. Tee off in front was 12.52 we were 12.58 and if that’s all 4 balls only 6 min gap. Shambles. Lots or straight par 4s

The day we played it had been raining for 2 days solid and when we got to the course some of the greens were holding a lot of water.tryed to phone golfnow but number wouldn't go through to try and cancel so ended up just playing .got soaked for the first 4 holes but then rain went off. So the course is a bit strange the first u hit of but if u hit into the dip you can't c were the green is there is a big marker post but u still can't c the green. There is some nice holes though but nothing really that rememberable the bunkers were all washed out due to the rain and the 14th hole is crazy it's 149 yards of the tee and if u can't hit a pitch wedge or nine iron that distance you will probably only get on green if u hit the fence behind the green which is right next to a main road strange.

Visit after a 25 year gap from my last round.

Great course, truly in fantastic condition. Was great value for money we got a round for £12!

Have gave the staff & facilities 3/5 as didn’t have any interaction with either.

Will be returning that’s 100% certain, and not after 25 years!

Get yourself up to Clydebank.

Great Day

Excellent day playing this well laid out course. The greens were in fine condition and the fairways are well looked after. I was truly impressed by the whole set up. From the moment we arrived everyone was very friendly including the club pro who took time to welcome us and explain and answer our questions. Met some members later on the course and enjoyed our chat. My friend and I very much enjoyed the challenge of this course and will be back again soon without a question of a doubt.

Course in Excellent Condition

A great round of golf at Clydebank and District started with efficient check-in arrangements. The course was fairly quiet, so no hold-ups during the round. With perfect playing conditions overhead, the fairways and greens were in very good condition, so no excuses for any any poor strokes! All three of us are looking forward to our next visit.

Good little course.

Nice course and decent fun. Pretty open and not very long but with a couple of tricky holes at the end. Course in good condition but pace of play was ridiculously slow and no effort by members to let people pass. Watched a fourball all mark score cards on green, leaving bags in front of green etc. This spoiled a good day.

Course

Too many people on the course. Playing in a two ball it should have taken us 3 and a bit hours. It took us 4 and a half. Two four balls in front of us all drinking. Two ball in front of us drinking. The course is a decent challenge but couldn’t get any momentum going. Two 2 balls behind us driving their ball at us every hole. No way of knowing when you are over the hill of telling people it’s safe to play. Will definitely never play this course again. Golf now are just ramming the courses full of people with no consideration for pace of play. They should stop doing this immediately as it is spoiling the game.

Slow

Got stuck behind three old gentlemen for the whole back 9. They refused to let us, a two ball play through so we waited on the tee with then on most holes and watched them hack it 50 yards at a time. Ruined the round. Had it not been for the limited time I get to play golf I would have walked off. Very poor etiquette!!!
