Lovely little course

Course itself was immaculate, greens and fairways manicured and plenty of greenskeepers about. There was quite a bit of rain but the course took the water well and there were no boggy or waterlogged sections.

Pro shop staff very helpful, clubhouse didn't open until 10 but coffee available from pro shop was a nice touch. We ate food afterwards, and it was very reasonably priced, tasted great and portion sizes were large. No range but net, putting green and practice area all available. Overall a great experience, would definitely return, and a bargain at £25/30

Hidden Gem

Played this course before the Open. Wasn’t expecting much as we booked last minute. When arrived at the club house we were a bit underwhelmed. The clubhouse could do with a bit of updating but I think that’s like most golf courses. When we serrated playing we were blown away by the conditions. The greens and bunkers were in perfect conditions. The course was very interesting and presented some good challenges. Really impressed with this course and would definitely reccomend to others. Well worth the price. Would probably have paid double the price and still have felt it was value for money.

Fantastic

My goodness this is up there as the best course we have played with golf now. So much so we went back 3 days later. The prices aren't much different from the hot deal to the actual full price. What made it extra special was the people that work in the place who are so friendly asking if we enjoyed the course and couldn't do enough to make you feel welcome.

Happy days at Hayston

Golf course in excellent condition we had 4 seasons in one day with bright sunshine heavy rain showers and gusts of wind alternating during our very enjoyable round.

Two of my playing partners played the course for the first time and were very impressed.

We are three Royal Jersey members and played a 4 ball with a Hayston member who is a friend of mine. Great day.

Hayston golf course

Hayston is a good course and has some really challenging holes but at this moment in tome there are no distance markers on any holes and no ball cleaners at the tees.

Wow that was good

I was fortunate in pairing with a member who was able to be pleasant and useful without being overly chatty.

The staff were quite good as well.

However the star of the show was the course. Well kept by well managed squad of greenskeepers. There were plenty of interesting holes and absolutely nothing that detracted from the experience. Pace of play was ideal. The greens had no ball marks and although they were much slower than I was used to, they were true and fair.

If you desire a premium experience at GolfNow rates, this is the place in the Glasgow area.

Superb!

For late April course was in amazing condition. Greens were as good as it gets. Challenging and varied course. not too hilly. Friendly members gave us “first timers” a couple of tips re crossover holes which was appreciated. Only small issue was a couple of directional tee signs could be placed on the back 9 for newbies. And all for £23. Would play again any time!!

A bit boring

Pretty flat, back forward back forward holes, good course for the oldies, or high handicapper, not very challenging, course was wet but still in good condition.

Great Test of Accuracy

4th time here this year. Staff were very friendly on arrival as usual. let us on earllier than our tee time. Two of us behind a four ball who were very quick and even offered to let us through but tbh didn't need too. Pace was good.

This course is not long but it feels like it. We played off yellow. You need very good drives and sometimes very good follow up shots to make the greens in 2. Greens are immaculate and quite flat but we found that trickier than when obvious gradient. This is a great test. Could've broke 90 here if I didn't fluff last two holes. Ended up 93. I'll be back....
