The Golf Club at North Hampton
About
The Golf Club at North Hampton offers a traditional Scottish links-style course right in northeast Florida. Designed by Arnold Palmer, the layout meanders through dramatic elevation changes of over 40 feet and ten spring-fed lakes lined with coquina boulders. Sprawled across rolling hills and wild grasses, the golf course is sculpted from beautiful Florida woodlands, offering a round that is as scenic as it is challenging. The Golf Club at North Hampton's hard-to-read greens are massive and move very quickly. There are also tight fairways, many of which feature blind approaches. To make it even trickier, strong winds often sweep through the course, some even reaching a speed of 30 miles an hour.

North Hampton
Beautiful course, with the front nine being very easy and the back very challenging. The greens are very fast all year round with condition good through the year but best in late spring
Great Course
The course was in great shape and always a challenge. This is always a great course to test your skills.
great greens
This course is well taken care of. Fairway, bunkers to greens. Watch out for the greens they are slick. Very nice facility, proshop, bar, dining. Overall very well accomandating.
Perfect day
Played this course many times over the years and it is always in great shape. Played in 4:15 in spite of 4 golfers having bad days. Highly recommend this course if you are in the area
Awesome Layout and Great Conditions!
The front nine of this course is very unique with the tall grasses bordering the rough and the hazards. The fairways and greens are greatly maintained, too. The only personal downside is that the back nine doesn't seem at all like the front, but is still very beautiful. It's a great place to play, especially for an Arnold Palmer course!
what a track!!!
This course is located north of Jax. just outside of Amelia Island and I believe the course is on a par with the courses at Amelia at half the price.
Golfing with my son
Course was backed up and very slow, started at 12:50 and did not finish before dark. Nice course, great staff and fast greens but would probably not go back.
Play this course
We played this course for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. The fairways were in great shape. Most of them had ample landing areas off the tee and then became narrower with water and sand hazards to challenge your second or third shots. The bunker sand was heavy but well-maintained. The greens are excellent, quite fast and rolling true, with few bumps to throw your ball off line. The course was busy, but we completed our round in under 4 hours. Clubhouse staff, starter and grill staff were all very friendly and helpful. An excellent day on an excellent course.
Nice Sunday afternoon
Overall a good experience
Yhe conditions were good and the guys I hooked up with were fine
Still Fun
Hadn't played it in several years, but it's held up very nicely. Good mixture of short and long holes amongst the Par 4's & 5's that will force you to use many different clubs. Atypical Florida course in that it has several elevation changes. Features the best cart GPS system I've ever seen/used. Only complaint I really have is while the first 3 Par 3's all differ in design, they're all virtually the same length. And this is not the course to forget how to putt. Had 4 3-putts and even a 4-putt. Ugh.
Very nice outing
Course is tough but in great shape. The staff is unbelievably friendly and courteous
A beautiful and challenging course...
The Club at North Hampton is one of the more beautiful courses I have played. It's beauty was further enhanced by the impeccable conditions...just perfect! It's greens are very large, with lots of movement and speed and the fairways were well groomed and lush. While challenging, it is extremely fair with well spaced tee boxes to accommodate multiple skill levels. Additionally, unlike most courses in this area, it provides some real elevation changes that provide breath taking views. The only drawback was that the pace of play was very slow the day we played but, having talked to members and other friends who know the course well, this evidently is far from typical. It is a must course to play. One of the best in the area!
Great track
Great course, great layout, great staff, great day!
The wind was blowing in from the north as a nice upper level high finally sent us some nice weather.
This course is just over 7000 yards from the tips and when the wind blows it is extremely challenging.
I can't wait to get back out and play this course again.
Great value
Nice layout. Fair but challenging. Greens did not look that great but putted true. Look forward to my next back to play the course again.
One of my favorites
Course is challenging and is always in great shape. Staff is pleasant and helpful. Pace of play was steady.
Can't beat the price with quality of course
Tee it up here
Just north of Jacksonville in Fernandina is a marvelous layout with rolling greens and a leisurely or extreme test as you so desire. Treated nicely by everyone there. Will be back for another go shortly. Highly recommend it!
After the Rain
Took some out of town guests and we all had a wonderful time. Had to wait out a 45 min rain storm, but once back on the course and it had some time to drain, we all enjoyed the round. The rain ran off a few people and we zipped around in 3.5 hours without rushing. Greens were in fantastic shape, fairways had plenty of grass, and the tee boxes were well manicured. My guest loved the rolling terrain and thought the course challenging but fair. It was a great value for all.
