Chester Washington Golf Course

Course was slow because of cart shortage but as they were available out you went. Staff friendly and courteous even with a wait time about 15 min behind. Course itself in good shape and managed to get all 18 in before darkness set in.

Chester Washington for all its history and connection to the great Charlie Sifford disappointed me. Spent time there with my brothers from out of town and I left wishing I had taken them to another course. Greens were recently punched so they get a pass. The fairways, where they weren’t under repair were not well maintained. The best part of the course was the bunkers. That they had sand was respectable considering a lot of courses do not have sand these days. I just expected better of a historic landmark for the game amongst African Americans. I will play here again to give it one more try. If the conditions aren’t improved, it will be my last time playing the course. Please PLEASE manage course conditions. The whole point of playing golf is to be challenged. The course conditions weren’t challenging. They were cheating. Please work on bringing it back to what o know it can be.

Its an okay course but for the price there are courses in the area in better condition

Value for the money, great! . Greens recently punched. We were two behind a slow foursome who never offered to let us play through and went back to another hole after 18 and continued to play. Apparently the cart guy knew this was common. 1st tee Ambassador great.

Great round. The fairways and greens were in good shape. This course can be challenging if you play par golf. Great course for beginners.

On a hot day the course was in good shape. Lot’s of birdies and pars. It would be a great idea to bring your own water and snacks.

Great course for practice. Greens and fairways are in good conditions with plenty of chances for birdies and eagles.
