Westchester Golf Course

There is a guy that has been working there for years who is the rudest person I’ve ever encountered in all my years of playing golf. I have heard the same thing from multiple people not sure how he still works there

This was the absolute worst round I have ever played. I have played here before and it’s bad but they have allowed this course to become so backed up it’s unplayable. Over an hour to play 2 holes, the pace of play did not improve. They over schedule this course in such an intense level it’s remarkable.

Additionally, I have never seen a course in such bad condition, and I play LA golf frequently. There are literally construction sites through the fairways, caution type across holes, giant mounds of dirt in random place, absolutely disgusting conditions. The greens were actually decent though, but when you have to play through 200 yards of a construction site it doesn’t really matter.

I shot the first birdie of my life at this course but it has gone so downhill over time that I will literally never play here again.

Don’t waste your time or money, there are tons of better cheap options in LA area.

Redoing the whole course sprinkler system, some holes are even playable. Wind was blowing 30’mph and couldn’t even play, tried getting rain delay or money back for another time to play. “Even if it’s raining and lightning we don’t give money back”

Makes zero sense, but what does at this course. Waste of 250 dollars to play with friends.

Love this course although it's probably not the nicest course and some might say it's a bit on the ghetto side.......but so am I. This course can get backed up on the second and third holes but they always get walk-ons out pretty fast which makes this course my go to. Im a fan but it might not be the course for the uptight or stuffy golfer. If u are a chill, laid back person u might like it and will fit in perfectly with the type of golfers you will play with.

Even thought the course is under construction, we had an amazing time.

Course is perfect for walking and the driving range one of the best I’ve seen but very crowded seems to be more people at the range than on the course which wasn’t a bad thing.

Very disappointed with Golf Now and Westchester course. Made booking through Golf Now and when I arrived at the course to pay the green fee, they would not allow me to use the senior rate since I made the reservation through Golf Now. Last time I use Golf Now for any golf reservations!!!

Westchester course was awful, under construction, not well kept up and a total lack of any amenities, lounge, food or restrooms

This course is ran by American Golf which are notorious for 8 min Tee times and allowing 5 somes but my real gripe is that they are charging more now for a round of golf and have one of the highest driving range ball prices around . And here's the issue, the entire course is under construction so nothing has been watered for a while now there's entirely too much disrepair areas. So you would figure they would charge a price commensurate with course conditions but no . Seems like profit trumps reinvestment and betterment of course conditions. Issue is trickle down from ownership to management . Try and avoid till conditions improve

9th and 10th hole under construction they did not tell u this when we purchased green fees. Still paid full price 70$. For two. The whole front nine and some of the back nine was under construction for new water sprinkler system. Most of the courses was ugly.

Golfers have an innate sense of honesty integrity are polite eager to help and are gregarious.. I always enjoy meeting my new golf partners. Westchester has never let me down.

I learned to golf playing this course routinely. Understand more than 50% of people playing here are first-timers, next 25% are beginners. If you take it for what it is it’s a solid beginner course. But by every definition of the word it is just that. Stay away from weekend tee times.

Keep your head on a swivel as most fairways are adjacent and beginners that will not yell Fore. Also, almost no etiquette or safety thinking. Multiple people driving/ sprinting across fairways in your backswing.

EXTREMELY SLOW PACE. This is due to to both over booking and the amount of beginners taking multiple mulligans on each hole. If you tee off anytime after 7am expect a 5hr plus round. On weekends you are almost always waiting for 2-3 groups after the first hole to tee off the 2nd. Ridiculously slow for the length of the course. Good luck getting a tee time before 7 though.

Also right now the Bar/ restaurant is under construction and they don’t have any bev carts or food options.

One bright spot about this course is that the greens are mostly well kept.
