SLOW
Used to play here a lot. Love the course but Almost 3 hours to get through 9 holes. For an executive course that’s ridiculous. 5+ hours on Sunday at a full course is to be expected these days but no way should that be the case on this course. We left after 9 holes
Fun little course
Played at Westchester for years and it's always a fun course. With mainly Par 3's and short 4 par's it's a great place to practice your irons. The course layout and condition is good.
The only drawback at Westchester can be pace of play and\or safety because of the number of beginner golfers.
Is What it Is
4 deep in the tees, decent fairways, no one fixes divots, but it’s Westchester. You know exactly what you’re getting when you go there.
Surprise
Never played here before ! All was good. Even my son liked it for what it was. (1 handicap) We ll come back!!
Noticeable upgrades
We had a nice round at the Westchester golf course recently, and the improvements were noticeable. The course was well watered, clean, and had new signage at almost every hole. Additionally, there are now ball cleaning stations and trash bins at every hole.
Staff is very friendly, the Cafe and foods / drinks are very enjoyable and great!
Condition is fairly good, this is a par 64 course (60.6/95 rating) short course, the only par 5 is hole #5 which is awesome as when you hit the second shot from the fairway, the landing airplanes just all over your head, very exciting experience.
However, you need to be extremely careful on the erratic balls. We have been hit into the car on hole # 7, and on the next hole #8, the lady in my group was almost hit by another ball from hole #2 , in both cases, there was no yelling, and even worse, when those two players made the shots came over, there was no apology or even a word.
The course is designed for casual players, there are little trees protecting adjacent fairways, erratic shots are not uncommon as you can imagine.
Westchester Golf-Sunny Day Goflers
The course was well kept. Pace of Play was great for a busy Friday. Sunny day for all golfers. Teamed up with two gals from Korea. New friends, great golf.
