About
Willow Glen is one of two 18-hole championship courses at Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan (formerly known as Sycuan Resort), which also boasts an 18-hole, par-3 course. Nestled in a valley between lush hillsides, the golf courses all offer stunning mountain views. The mountains also help to block the wind, which allows for more agreeable playing conditions. Willow Glen is slightly more challenging than the other championship course due to a hillier terrain and more fairways that are tightly lined with mature pines, oaks, and cottonwoods. The trees shape the landing zones and add definition to the doglegs. Proper placement off the tees is necessary for doing well on this course. Contoured mounding borders the greensides as well as more than 40 bunkers. Water also comes into play on six holes. The 11th through the 15th holes are an impressive stretch that presents a variety of challenges as well as unrivaled scenery.

4 holes short
Prior to the reservation, we should have been told about the closure of 4 holes and alternate greens. The new work on #4 does look great.
Course improvements
Got a discounted tee time because there was work being done on course and informed there were only fifteen holes. Turns out there were only fourteen holes as 6-9 were under construction

Back after a while
Playable holes were in great condition, much better than the last time I played it. Green d
were in great shape. Unfortunately, there was construction going on and they closed one of their signature holes and shortened two others. No mention of this when we checked in.

Course under renovation
Very disappointed to see the extent of renovations ongoing as we were unaware at time of booking. Course conditions were not good-bunkers hard, faiways in poor shape. Disappointing as we had enjoyed this course several years ago. We were a threesome & frequently waited on the twosome ahead of us.
Bar staff were very helpful in getting a meal which met my dietary requirements.

Course under renovation
This was not our first visit to the Singing Hills courses. We appreciate the beauty of the setting, the excellent pro shop & amenities but this time we were disappointed as we did not know that the course was under renovation & therefore several holes were modified. Should have suspected that given the good online pricing! Challenging interesting track which no doubt will be improved by the remake. Would have appreciated knowing what to expect!

Way overpriced
The course is pretty much under construction. The front desk told us that hole 17 is under construction and we had a temporary par 3 in its place. Okay.. no problem, get on the course and 5-6 holes are under construction as well with temporary greens and tee boxes. The rough was overgrown so one hops into the rough will result in lost balls. Fairways are a little tight as well. Greens were recently punched, which was not disclosed to me upon arrival, so putting was useless. Overall I won't play this course again, it felt way overpriced, as I paid 90$ for a below average experience compared to some other courses in the area.

Under construction with temporary greens
For what they charge, Sining Hills should disclose that their course is under construction and key holes are closed.
The greens were also heavily sanded, taking the putting portion of your round of golf off the table.
Had I known, I would have played elsewhere.

Lush
In Southern California there aren't too many public courses with lush fairways and greens. This course has both! It's a hidden gem and the restaurant has excellent service and food! Pro shop staff very personable and made me feel welcome for my first round there.

We had a member playing with us, otherwise we would have never found our way to the next hole in some cases. Need some more direction signs.

Great course with one issue
Awesome course! Only issue was that system that controls the golf carts is very strict. I am an average golfer at best and dont always hit the fairway. Looking for a ball becomes even more frustrating when your cart shuts down and you are required to reverse out back to the cart path. I feel that pace of play would benefit by relaxing the gps fence.
