About
Willow Glen is one of two 18-hole championship courses at Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan (formerly known as Sycuan Resort), which also boasts an 18-hole, par-3 course. Nestled in a valley between lush hillsides, the golf courses all offer stunning mountain views. The mountains also help to block the wind, which allows for more agreeable playing conditions. Willow Glen is slightly more challenging than the other championship course due to a hillier terrain and more fairways that are tightly lined with mature pines, oaks, and cottonwoods. The trees shape the landing zones and add definition to the doglegs. Proper placement off the tees is necessary for doing well on this course. Contoured mounding borders the greensides as well as more than 40 bunkers. Water also comes into play on six holes. The 11th through the 15th holes are an impressive stretch that presents a variety of challenges as well as unrivaled scenery.

Great course conditions, but pace of play slow
Fairways were nicely cut and greens were fast. They take care of this course. There were always 3 groups on each hole - one on the green, one on the fairway, and one on the tee box. Waited about 15 minutes on the tee box at each hole. Course was fun, not too difficult, not too easy. Worth the price if you’re willing to have a long round.

Always a Pleasure
One of my few go-to courses in SoCal. For some reason the greens have been better than ever! Singing Hills Willow Glen has always had soft shaggy medium slow greens, a definitely player friendly greens, but recently they have been rolling pure and maybe up in the 9-10 speed. Bunkers need some work as they are somewhat hard. Tee boxes and fairways are always lushes, but maybe a little more mowing on the fairways are in order. The fairways are as long as the first cut, needs to be cut down. Prices have jumped up quite a bit over the last few years, which I’m not too happy about. Their prices are the reason why I don’t play there as much anymore.

Very nice course and infrastructure. $8 for a bucket of balls ridiculous
The infrastructure and course were very nice and in very good condition. Course is challenging but not so difficult that you have to be a top notch player to enjoy it. The employees were friendly and helpful. $8 for a small bucket of average range balls on an average range is a backhanded gouge for a couple of bucks and should be changed.

I thought from the beginning to the end the total package of the resort was exceptional. I would love to stay and play at this resort. Location, layout, price, condition, amenities etc etc was five stars.

Pleasantly Surprised
My first time playing and enjoyed it alot! The fairways were green and well kept, greens were fun even though recently airiated, play was quick. I will be back.

Slowwwwwww!
We had a 1:30 tee time, so expected to get the round in before dark. No such luck! They had had a frost delay in the morning, so were a 30-minute delay. But the pace was so slow it took 2:45 to play the front nine. Moved a little quicker on the back and was getting dark on the 15th. Might have got 16 holes in, but they turned the sprinklers on! Everything else was fine, but the extremely slow pace made it a frustrating day.

The greens here were so nice. Fast & pure. They have been furry and slow in the past, but that’s no longer true.

Still one of the best around
I have played Willow Glenn many times and it is still one of the best courses in town. The fairways were lush and the greens perfect. Well except for the numerous unrepaired ball marks. But that’s no reflection on the course, just life in the post Covid golf world. If you’re new to the game, please learn proper golf etiquette. You beginners are ruining many wonderful courses by not fixing your ball marks on greens, sand filling your divots, raking bunkers, etc!!!!!!!!!!
