Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan - Willow Glen
About
Willow Glen is one of two 18-hole championship courses at Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan (formerly known as Sycuan Resort), which also boasts a 9-hole, par-3 course. Nestled in a valley between lush hillsides, the golf courses all offer stunning mountain views. The mountains also help to block the wind, which allows for more agreeable playing conditions. Willow Glen is slightly more challenging than the other championship course due to a hillier terrain and more fairways that are tightly lined with mature pines, oaks, and cottonwoods. The trees shape the landing zones and add definition to the doglegs. Proper placement off the tees is necessary for doing well on this course. Contoured mounding borders the greensides as well as more than 40 bunkers. Water also comes into play on six holes. The 11th through the 15th holes are an impressive stretch that presents a variety of challenges as well as unrivaled scenery.

Pace of Play for Weekday
Pace of play for early Thursday tee time was significantly slower for Willow Glen course. Waited a few minutes each hole to tee off. I've played course several times and hadn't experienced this slower pace previously. Chalk it up to an off day!
Fun round of golf
Course was in good shape, greens were nice and layout was nice as well... definitely will play again and recommend friends.
Great place to play. Friendly staff and really fun course.
Really enjoyed our first time at this course. Didn’t know much about it. It was a little bit tricky and in that way really fun. The greens were in great shape as were the fairways. A bit punishing to be off the fairways on some holes. I like that.
Pizza plate did slow down a bit towards the end which I often assume is going to happen at popular courses. People do slow down a little bit if there’s more than $.50 on the line I find. But overall a great place to play and very well taken care of easy to follow for a first time. The driving range is outstanding as well.
Great Track
Friendly staff, great range, putting / chipping greens and F&B. Fairways & greens excellent condition. My regional favorite!
Course’s conditions are great from tee box to fairways to greens. Just back nine took almost 3 hours to play… a fun course.
Terrific Greens
Overall great condition, particularly the greens. Expected pace of play with a layout which is challenging yet fair. My only gripe, not one a ball washer on the track.
Turtle pace of play
Front nine was fun but slow. Back nine was boring and extremely slow. Haven’t played a 5 hour round except in a tournament in years. The condition of the course was good. One par three was very beautiful. Overall, not anything to remember or recommend. I would not waste another 5 hours playing.
Single Golfers Beware!
I came here on a very slow weekday. The first thing the staff tells me is that they force all singles to pair up in a cart. They've never done this before. When I pointed this out, they just shrugged me off. This is a really expensive course with a fleet of carts that were being unused. It is hard to believe they can't let a single player have their own cart on a dead weekday with literally dozens of carts sitting idle. It is just bad customer service!
