Ojai Valley Inn

Surprised my sweetheart with a golf day and we spent the night too. We have lived in Ventura County for most of our lives and we had never been here. 20 minutes from home for us. Treat yourself and go. We had a great experience from start to end. Only wish we had stayed longer. Everyone was so great and the atmosphere at the resort was so relaxed. Everywhere we went they were wishing my Husband a "Happy Birthday". He felt so Special. The weather was great, warm with rain that evening. We had a deer run across one of the holes we were on too. Loved our time at the Inn!!!

I arrived early, so I walked around the property and kinda got lost since it’s been over 10 years from my last visit. This place is a dream come true a 10 out of 10. Everyone was friendly and happy, living in this nice little private oasis. The practice area was great. I was able to build confidence. My first T shot was excellent. And my game was very good all day except for my putting. But oh, what can you do? T boxes, fairways, first cut, sand bunkers, putting, greens. Everything was A+ excellent.

What a great course & resort!!! Every staff member I encountered was pleasant and when asked, very helpful with how to navigate the resort. Starter was great as was the pro shop guy. Driving range was as nice as you'll find. Carts are in great shape with GPS. Teed off right on time.

Course was in excellent condition. Front 9 is tighter and unforgiving of bad shots. Back 9 is a little more open but still tough. A lot of postcard holes on both sides. Beverage cart came around 2-3 times & there was water throughout the course. Pace was good and we finished in 4 hours.

I look forward to playing this course again and would recommend it to all.

Always a great day at this awesome course. Have been playing here for decades. Lunch at Jimmy's, service was perfect, but food was disappointing.

We had relatives visiting us in Santa Barbara, and we wanted to show them a few of the best golf courses in the area, and Ojai Valley Inn Golf Course certainly met the criteria!

We had a fun day with beautiful vistas and challenging holes.

Our only complaint was that we lost several balls due to the very long rough next to the fairways.

Course conditions were beautiful, except for the 5” rough. A ball off the fairway had a better than even chance of not being found. If you were lucky enough to find it, all you could hope to do was hack it out and hope to get it back in the fairway.

The staff were friendly and helpful and I won’t hesitate to return. Hopefully after they’ve mowed…

Played on a Saturday hot deal at 11:50. Checked in early they marked 12 PM on tee sheet bumped me up 10 minutes and then he didn’t Tee off until 1215. Over 5 hours to finish the round.

The course to play for people that love the game and are ready for a challenge.

We loved our round at OVI, course was in great shape, a little tricky to find the pro shop, range facility was great, the layout was a lot of fun 3, 8, 10, 12 and 13 were somewhat forgettable holes but the rest of the course was a blast for two lower handicap players.

I would play here again at the right price or if staying at the resort.

My family and I visited Ojai Valley Inn golf course and had much higher expectations compared to the reality of the golf course. There was a large storm 4days prior to our visit and the golf course was at a very poor state beyond what I anticipated. There were leaves, broken branches, stumps, and even whole trees sprawled throughout the whole golf course. In addition over 90% of the courses were still partially submerged in water. Hole #11 was also completely closed off for play which the clubhouse did mention but they failed to mention anything other than that. I would have expected at least a slight forewarning when I was checking in for my tee time regarding the state of the course especially when I'm paying over 120+ per person but no regards nor were given. It's a huge disappointment and it's quite shocking how no considerations were given to me nor any members of my family. I drove all the way from SD with my daughter who is visiting out of state to with the anticipation to have a great time but Ojai Valley Inn golf course has severely fell short on majority of my expectations and prior visit and I will have to reconsider my visit in the future now based on my experience on the 28th.
