Cinnabar Hills Golf Club - Lake/Canyon

Greens were a little slower than I remembered. In all fairness the greens were aerated 1-1.5 weeks ago. Overall course conditions not bad since there is a drought in CA.

Tough first time through. I want another crack at it! Beautiful surroundings and great layout. Facility was private club level. Overall I was very impressed.

Course had just completed aeration so greens were bumpy. Otherwise great experience. Played lake and canyon. Canyon was shorter but more interesting.

Very relax and feel like a vacation for us even though the course are fully scheduled. The course traffice are very well managing.

Unfortunate to say the least. Upon booking my tee time, I was informed that my foursome would be playing the Mountain 9 TWICE in order to complete the 18 hole round. The Pro Shop - unapologetic at best (rude, unaccomodating, dismissive) informed me of this only AFTER I booked my tee time - then telling me that they "clearly posted this" prior to booking the reservation. They did not. Once on the course, we also came to realize the greens had been punched - another bonus to an already unfortunate round of golf. . .

Kyle answered my phone call today and was extremely short and quite rude. Very disappointed and because normally the staff is friendly. Kyle you should work on your social skills on the phone, sir.

Played fast and allowed us to switch nines on the back. Staff helpful and concerned about your round.
Greens punched but we had notice of that and when you can play a challenging course in just over three hours, I'm in!

I always enjoy playing Cinnabar. The course is challenging and very attractive, always in good shape. Staff is courteous and helpful. I love playing without surrounding houses.

There are three 9's at cinnabar and they are all fantastic. The course is fairly busy so pace of play can be a little slow. One of the best maintained courses in the Bay Area.

Course is in fantastic condition in spite of the severe drought.

Folks unless you want to pay a premium I would not waste your money DIRT TRACK Due to CA drought.
Other courses are in better condition. But Service is great.

I played this course for the first time this week: Monday I played the Mountain/Lake courses and Friday the Lake/Canyon courses. This is a very scenic and entertaining course. It is not especially hard although some holes have some forced carries but it has good character with lots of elevation changes. Some of the holes are like The Ranch but more forgiving. For similar money I would rather play Cinnabar than Coyote, especially the valley side.

Given the water shortage, the course was in good condition. The fairways had some spots but overall they were very good. The greens rolled very true and had some pace to them. They received the ball well. We played the Canyon/Lake. It was a good day.

Good golf good friends good time. The course was in good shape and challenging for our group. The stall was helpful and polite. Easy access from the valley

Warm breezy day. The course in great shape considering the drought. Greens were very firm and quick. A real taste of what PGA set ups are like. Gotta hit the right part of the green and keep it within 20 feet. Great test of skill. Like the mountain and canyon layouts best. Pace was great for a Saturday afternoon. Finished our round in just over 4 hours.

good design, good layout, good view, green in very good condition, green grass different from most course from surrounding area, dont know if its bent or bermuda grass, smooth. fairway also in good maintainace. they have three nine holes, namely canyon, lake and mountain, just like the name suggests, have that three view and feel, overall, excellent golf course.

Fun changeling course with cannon being the hardest of the 3 9holes. Lots of holes you can't use driver on the cannon course. The course was real dry but I guess they are doing their part to help with the drought. Speedy greens with decent break in good shape.

I played with two colleagues of mine from work, and this course didn't let us down. The course is in fantastic shape, the cart girl and all the ladies for that matter were very attractive and friendly.

We all agreed that we will be back. Yeah and one more thing your club house is very impressive.

Played Cinnabar many times. Always nice to be out there. The green fees (twilight) very reasonable. Course a bit dry but in pretty darn good shape despite their efforts at cutting back on water usage. Greens smooth and fast.

Driving the ball in the fairways is a premium, since balls in the rough usually result in a stroke lost. The fairways are well maintained and the greens offer some challenging changes in elevation and quick action. This is a manageable course with some great views, friendly staff, clean facilities, and challenging greens. I think this is a must play if you are in the South Bay Area.

The pace of play can be on the slow side, so choose your tee times wisely. BTW - the smokey burger is the best!
