Sweetwater Golf & Country Club

I’ve played this course in the past before they started all the renovations and condo building and it used to be a fun track. This course is totally screwed up now. The layout on the front nine makes absolutely NO SENSE. They rearranged the front nine to make room for condos but it’s a golfing nightmare. Worst layout in all of Orlando! The back nine has what I would call a normal layout. Overall the course is in bad condition. The greens were BAKED and hard as concrete. Good luck getting your ball to bite. Looks like they’re trying to save on their water bill. The fairways were super thin…it’s obvious they didn’t over-seed. And the tee boxes were basically ignored. When it comes to a par 3 you’d at least want THOSE tee boxes to be decent, but that wasn’t the case. They’ve practically destroyed a fun course to make room for more houses and condos. At least the staff was super friendly…that was the only positive. Oh and I arrived looking to purchase golf balls in the pro shop for my round and they didn’t have any for sale (not even used ones). The pro shop was completely empty except for drinks. I’ve never seen a pro shop (at least that’s what they call it) that doesn’t have golf balls for sale. I have officially taken this course out of my rotation and won’t be back.

Greens coming along well, fairways and traps still need to catch up.

Love the course and the fact that the staff is working very hard to keep the course in great shape is an absolute plus

If you have never played this course before you might give it no more than three stars, maybe even one. We play it often and overall and have seen vast improvements. The greens are playable, slow but always have been. The fairways are very dry, we need rain, so move your ball a view inches. The fairways will recover, the greens will improve even more and you will have a nice round of golf .

It was my first experience at this facility and I saw it had mixed reviews. The poor ratings were mostly for course conditions. I can say the greens were very good with a couple under some point of reconstruction. The fairways were ok and you could see that they are putting some effort into them as well.

The staff was absolutely fantastic! Rosemarie in the bar is so much fun.

I’d play here again and I’m hopeful for their continued efforts to make it even better

Course was decent enough for the price. Some tee box marker positions were not consistent and some just did not make sense.

In the morning the club house did not sell coffee and also it does not sell gold balls. We did not see tees or golf gloves for purchase either.

Unless you get a hot deal not worth it.

It has been over 10 years since I played here...now being on Golfnow caused me to try it again...course was in good shape...people friendly...a lot of really old golfers moving quite slow but okay...they only have 40 golf carts so even though I got out on time...had to wait to get a returning cart...this was a Monday so weekends might be an issue. My round trip drive is over 2 hours on surface streets so probably won't play here regularly but would if it was closer

Staff, Devon was very friendly. But the fist 9 halls look retrofitted into residential area and horrible layout. The last 9 halls look decent golf course

First time there and have to say, don’t think I’ll be back. Fairways are patchy and very dry and a rough ride. Greens are a mix of grass and dirt and open spots. There are some good greens on the course. Have to also say I’m surprised at the gas golf carts. I would think that the residents would complain of the noise in a quiet neighborhood. Pace of play was terrible. Teed off before eleven and finished over 4 hours later. Just 2 in our group. But a day on the course is better than any day at work.

I am very disappointed that based on recent review, i booked for 3 to have good time.The course is in its worst condition, not single green/fairway is in decent condition. Felt that we are playing on ground covered with dead grass or sand or dirt through out. Please do not waste your money and tim. I am being honest with my review. Only good thing is the Club House, looks like a new one.

Course has a unique hole layout. No signage to the next tee. Drove past the 2nd 7th tee boxes. If not for other golfers in near by fairways we would’ve missed 2 holes. Plus gate was locked to clubhouse entrance. No key pad or intercom. Had to wait for someone to drive by. Not worth the 54 bucks for the extra agrivation
