Great Place
Some beautiful holes. Really enjoyed my round today. Have been looking a club to join and this may be the one. Only down side. I ain't fit.
Some fairway markers
Lovely course, with lots of interesting turns and dips on the back nine in particular, a few things could help like direction markers, the two people I was out with weren’t familiar with the layout of the fairways and I had to constantly indicate the direction they should be aiming at. Also a lot of bells needed to inform following players that it’s clear to play, for health and safety reasons alone!.
Maturing Parkland
Having played this course of many years it is maturing nicely into a good parkland course. The course was in good condition considering the amount of rain there had been in the last week. The only small issue was members not fixing their pitch marks on the green which our group was fixing 2/3 on each green but this didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment.
Family day out
Course and greens in super order. Pins in hard locations after weekend captains day. Bunkers poor.Either GUR after weekend rain. Sand poor quality, hard with no depth or bunker base visible.
Good value for money
Before arriving I had worries on course condition as traditionally I had played a number of years before and it was in a terrible condition. I am pleased to say that the work that must have been carried out made the course enjoyable and would go back. My only criticism was the club did not have online booking but the round was enjoyable.
