Balmoral Golf Club

Unfortunately I used one of my Golf Now Passes , disappointingly the back 9 of the course was closed and I feel like I didn’t not get the value for money. Also most fairways were bogged or hard to get sure footing for many shots. Staff were down to Earth and apologetic about the conditions but I feel there’s a need for more of a connection between the course and Golf Now as I paid far too much for a round which was severely hampered by poor ground and 9 holes unopened.

I've played here twice since moving up to Belfast with work. So I been playing as many courses I can. Balmoral is so far the best I've played so far. Great lay out, Some great holes throughout and I really love the 18th. Great looking finishing hole.

Only dropped it a star for condition because it is oct and the rain had been falling all week but even then it was holding up OK.

Nice day although course conditions were heavy under foot, but understandable given the so called summer we’ve had.

Pace of play on front 9 was slow and it wasn’t helped by 2 x walk ons who mysteriously appeared on the 2 nd green between us and the 4 ball who tee’d off before us.

Funny when we got to hole 10 they had disappeared - too close to the club house I suspect.

All in all a good day though.

Friendly staff. Nice course with good greens and overall condition. They'd had a lot of rain recently so a bit mucky in places (had a few plugged lies) but just had to adjust to what we'd consider 'winter' conditions.

Used to be a great course, but has went down hill badly….greens were terrible & held up by members on most of the holes

Shop staff extremely ignorant when asking about the course and in the the midst of the round of golf children making up 5 balls just appear to play whatever hole they like and put themselves in danger when u tee off as they just appear on the fairway

Tee time was booked for 1020am but didn't get off till 1100am. Ladies 2 ball, member 4ball, member 2ball jumped the line and just tee off when they wanted. As a 1ball was constantly catching up the member of club in 4ball wouldn't allow me to go ahead even though someone in his group said to let me. Some hole tee off not properly marked after ending previous hole.

I loved it and the pro shop manager was so accomodating and made me feel very welcome.

It was the ladies day and they were also friendly. Course layout is great and I will definitely be back :)

Course was very wet in places. Fairways hadn’t been cut so hard to distinguish between that and the rough. Overall I would say one word. Neglected.

Course in the worst condition I have seen it. Have played here many times. Very boggy in places. Fairways uncut. Come on Balmoral, get your act together!!

Course was very soft, grass on fairways and rough was long ball plugged every other shot couldn't find a few balls we had hit greens where good but getting to them was a task.

Play it in drier weather summer .

For a flat parkland course it is well routed and the greens are interesting. However, I would only play in mid summer after a period of dry weather and at a good price (£25-30 max).
