Cushendall
Some tight holes and the eighth is a cracker. Beautiful scenery just a lovely wee course
Stunning views
Great views and location
Friendly and welcoming members
Good condition for time of year and bearing in mind river runs through the course
You do however need to play it to understand where to go even with GPS
Honest review
Firstly, Good tricky course in a great town with some great people around the whole place. Very disappointed by what would appear to be a course keeper or member or something down them lines called Gerry. After having a go at one of the guys who was caddying for us because of his top, a black sports top, (I seen members playing in a comp with vests on and wearing the local jersey - which I don't mind at all but I am pointing it out because our caddy was not alone)... then accused the group of people that I had paid for of not paying - which is embarrassing for the golf club... Overall, good 9-hole course and very good bar staff and everyone else except Gerry being super friendly.. a good day of golf with a sour after taste due to Gerry.
Don't let this review put you off playing the course - it's worth playing and the town is a great spot after a good round.
Beautiful little 9 hole course.
This wee course is set against one of the most beautiful stretches of the Causeway Coast. The course is not overly long with no par 5's but is well laid out to provide a decent test.
Nice holiday round
Had 18 holes with both my sons whilst on holiday. Staff were helpful and I was able to hire clubs and trolleys. Its the kind of course that you can shoot a good score on if you're playing well but has a few tricks such as blind holes and deep bunkers like the par 3 7th.
Downside for me was the shared 2nd and 3rd faiways which caused confusion when the course was busy. There is also the 6/7 tee's where I think the previous reviewer may have had his issues as these tees are crossed and you could get hit by stray balls. The views are great and all in all its a nice course and well worth a visit.
Shame
Lovely little course in beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately our round was ruined by a group of female players that didn't appear to care about safety as they narrowly missed us with two consecutive approach shots and didn't think to warn us. They then had the nerve to blame us for standing "in the firing line". Overall attitude towards visitors is poor.
