Larne Golf Club

played the course just before Christmas.no staff in attendance at any stage during my visit.Thought there 18 different tee boxes but only 9 so played the 9 holes twice .

Had the course practically to my self and the course is a credit to the greenkeeper ,no winter greens and course well drained,nice to see ball running and not plugging .

very good value for money and spectacular views .holes 7 through 9 require accurate tee shots otherwise you may end up in the the tide

otherwise not a particularly challenging course but need to take into account string winds due exposed nature of the location

would definitely recommend to others and look forward to playing again

Sunny Weather always helps but i really enjoyed this challanging but fair course.

Its really an 18 hole course squeezed into 9, the variety of different tee boxes for each 9 and different par for some holes as a result means it never feels like you play the same hole twice.

Few sandy bits on the greens but flags well away from them so not really in play and general standard of the greens was excellent.

A real hidden gem!

No staff on again. I keep paying but no one is ever there.

Great course minus the very fluffy rough which is tough for a beginner. Many balls lost.

Reasonable course. Decent 9 holes. Perhaps slightly below other courses in its price range for visitors. Great 7th hole par 3

This is a nice course however no direction for tee boxes etc. temporary green were expected as it’s winter. Avoid in bad weather as it’s miserable. Will go back in summer hopefully

This course has great potential and could be nice in summer - good fairways, beautiful views.

Informed some holes may have winter greens - assumed maybe 1/2, but 6 out of 9 holes had pathetic “winter greens” cut which where 4x4m strips of bumpy fairway.

Would not recommend while these temporary greens are in place as it’s more or less unplayable.

When these are back to normal greens it has great potential to be nice 9 hole course

I got a call from the club 30 minutes before tee time to say GolfNow should not have allowed the booking as the course is waterlogged. I didn’t get a refund.

Haven’t played at larne for a year or two both by the looks of it the new green keeper is doing a wonderful job

Another very enjoyable game at Larne golf course. The weather was overcast and fairly windy. The views from the course were absolutely beautiful and the course itself was in terrific condition. The green were very well kept and fast. It is a real joy to play the course. Both members and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Really well keep course nice fairways and some crazy greens. Some serious walking in the course though very hilly

Absolutely love this course I make sure that I play it every time that I am over from England. If I lived closer I would definitely be a member but can’t justify the full membership when I’m only here a couple of times a year. I played the 7:30am tee time so had the entire place to myself, the greens were fantastic and the views even better.

I would recommend playing this course to anyone, obviously the signature hole is the 7th hole which is a blind downhill par 3 over cliffs.

I’ve only marked the off course amenities with four stars as I haven’t seen inside the clubhouse etc due to me playing so early in the morning.

Give an early morning tee time a try on a sunny day and you won’t regret it!

An excellent 9 course ,with beautiful views over the North channel and heads of the Glens of Antrim. The fairways and greens were in excellent condition . There are alternative tee boxes for the back 9 which adds to the challenge . A thoughtfully laid out course with a very friendly staff team.
