Winchester Country Club

Winchester is an enjoyable course that winds its way through the forest at altitude. From the black tees, the test places a premium on accuracy, not distance. Lots of cool design and fun holes to play. Greens are large with some pretty severe slopes in places. You can take advantage of those slopes on approach if you know where they are - it’s definitely one I’d like to play again.

On many courses, several holes seem the same… saying to yourself, “didn’t I just play this hole?”

Not on this course, every hole is different, interesting and challenging!

This place is a hidden gem. If you haven't played it.....you need to! Great greens and fantastic layout. The staff was welcoming and very friendly as well.

It rained heavily a few days ago but the course was still very water logged compared to others in the area. A few of the pin locations were in the drainage spots so those holes were quite trampled with the soft greens. Also they clearly prioritize weddings because there was no way to even drop off the cart after the round as it was blocked off.

Great track! The course was in great shape, even with winter conditions. This is definitely a shot makers course. Quite a few holes limit your shot selection off the tee and many of the greens are guarded by big deep bunkers. The greens rolled true, but have a lot of movement and are difficult to read. If you’re looking for a course that is going to make you hit the majority of the clubs in your bag, and force you to play both a draw and a cut, I highly recommend Winchester.

If you are new to the game, Winchester could be a frustrating outing.

The course was in horrible shape, the greens had been aerated & they were way better than the tee boxes & fairways. There was nobody at the restaurant working, with no food or drink & conditions being as they are, that was last time I pay for this course.

Really enjoyed our round. Pace and course conditions were affected by rain as it was cart path only but overall a very enjoyable experience. Will be back for sure!

Great course, great layout, great staff and amenities. The last two times i played this course it was very soggy especially the back nine. We had balls plug in the middle of the fairway. My only ding on this course is the maintenance of the course.

A little pricey but the condition and design was excellent. The greens were true and fast

Since it’s 2 or3 times the average cost of around in that area, it was not worth it greens in around the greens were poorly maintained.

Loved the course and the beauty of this track, pro shop staff was friendly, but did not see another staff member until the starter.

The course was in bad shape. The starter warned us the Summer had beaten it up badly. Bad conditions are one thing, but the layout and massive over-contouring of the greens were brutal. It could have been so much better as a foothills course. Too many pinch points, over bunkering and wildly sloped greens seemed unnecessary. The par 3's were possibly the highlight, which is sad. You couldn't pay me to play this track again

The fairway and the green are not in the good condition. For the regular price listed online, I expect much higher quality.

The course probably could use a shutdown for a couple weeks to do serious maintenance and get grass on the fairways again. Additionally a few of the bunkers were nothing but rocks. It was amazing how pure the greens rolled with 75% of the course didn’t have grass. It only rained 1/2” the morning of and everything was a soupy mess with the dirt turned mud.
