Spectacular Scrabo
This was my first outing at Scrabo. The weather was crisp, blue skies with white clouds for most of the afternoon and no rain thankfully. Upon arrival to the car park it was clear that the views were going to be quite breathtaking - you can see right over to the kingdom of Mourne, around the entire Strangford Peninsula, North Down and the greater Belfast area, right over to Ligoniel. Stunning. The course is great fun and although there were temporary greens due to the weather, the four of us had a blast, Any staff or club members we spoke to on our round were super friendly, offering advice and clearly happy that we were visiting their course. IMO this was a super experience and one I’d highly recommend- all of this combined with a great deal from Golf Pass on the green fees and some good craic and golf, I’m confident this is an experience that shall be treated by us in the not too distant future. Thanks Scrabo.
This course is one in a million
Scrabo Golf Course was in fantastic condition. It was almost like playing during summer time. It is a real challenge and certainly a course you would wish to play.A friend described it as a golfers course and you would not play many harder courses than Scrabo. A great time was had and praise to the course staff for the great condition of the course.
GREAT VIEWS OVER STRANGFORD LOUGH
Lovely course. Every hole is different. Love the 5th hole with all it's scenery. Enjoyed it a lot.
Needs to be better marked
Overall a good round as a three ball. Were slightly late but allowed to play anyway.
Markings on the course are poor , especially for a course with so many blind shots. Most holes only had a 100 yard marker in the fairway and OOB stakes.
A good course but signage to tee boxes and lack of yard markers lets it down.
Tough, but excellent
Played this course on 28/5/19. It's a tough course, and a bit of a hike, up and down steep hills. There are no flat, open fairways. They undulate with little hills and hummocks, slope to the left and to the right, with a lot of narrow spaces to aim for.....it's not an easy hit round here. Also, being so high above sea level, the wind plays more than a minor role. But the course seems to be looked after extremely well. It was in excellent condtion - the fairways were cut neatly and close...and the greens were like snooker tables - ball runs very true.
Overall, I would highly recommend this course - it's not for the faint-hearted....but it is excellently well kept and presented...and if you can bag a discount rate, so much the better!!
Hidden gem!
Most beautiful golfcourse I have ever played. Great views, lovely holes and really friendly members. Hole 1 is within top 100 of Ireland's most beautiful holes. The course is the 7th most difficult course of Ireland.
You have to play Scrabo when you are in Belfast!
Scrabo

Greens running nice and fairways well looked after.
Fella in the pro shop very friendly and helpful!
