About
Crescent Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton is Arnold Palmer's only public course in the area. It is conveniently located just a few minutes west of the bridge leaving Hilton Head Island. Opened in 2000, the course has quickly gained a reputation as being one of the Lowcountry's best. Sprawling across a lush landscape blanketed with century-old oaks and towering pines, the layout is as scenic as it is challenging. While the generous fairways may be player friendly, the difficult approaches to the elevated, well bunkered greens are anything but. The large, pristine white sand bunkers were designed in true Palmer-style, closely following the natural undulations of the land. The gently rolling terrain is unique for the area. Crescent Pointe Golf Club's elevation changes aren't dramatic but they do provide some subtle, but tricky undulations in the greens that make it hard to find a flat lie.

poor course condition
Although the staff was friendly and accommodating, the course was in need of upkeep on cart paths, tees and fareways.
Crescent Point Golf
It was a fun Course to play, T boxes were not well kept. Need to offer better food at the turn. The hotdogs we ate made us sick to our stomachs. We were unable to get to the cafe in the morning due to some meeting. should have a separate room for that.

Last I played this course, ten years ago, I really liked it. It is a good layout, and was one of the better bargains in the HH area. It’s sad to see what has happened to the course in the interim. I was told it was purchased in April and they are trying to bring the course back. It won’t be this year, and I’d guess it won’t be next year either. Might be good to play if 2025 if they apply constant effort to its repair.

Just ok golf course
Arnold would be very disappointed to has his name tied to this course. It is a little run down and the greens were so slow due to the height of the grass on greens. Some of the greens were bad and some tee boxes were dirt. You get what you pay for and this place is no different.

Nice Layout
Nice layout and staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the greens were very slow and several had damage and were under repair. I would play it again.

Played Crescent years before, enjoyed it. Few of the greens had some GUR, nothing to worry about. 18th hole has temp green… all in all, great experience

Ground under Repair
Went off early on a Monday morning. Course is in much better shape than the last time I played and clearly they are putting money and work into the course. Three to four of the greens were unplayable because the maintenance staff was resodding certain areas of the green. Would have been nice to know this in advance and personally $64 for a course in that condition simply isn’t fair. Headed in the right direction but I would wait until next year to give it a try again.

Horrible conditions
Drove all the from Florida to play what seemed to one of the nicer courses in the area, some of the worst greens I’ve ever played on and fairways seemed to be all under maintenance. Don’t recommend to anyone trying to play this course, save your money.

Was disappointed in the cost of stuff in bar area. You expect to pay more, but tacking a service charge on top of the price was a first for me.
$40 bucks for 6 beers is a little steep.

Very poor shape
Greens and cart paths are ridiculous. Bridges have boards missing. Very dangerous. Nothing like when I went several years ago. Would not go again.

Disappointed
The front nine was fairly well maintained, but the back nine was terrible; muddy, greens were chewed up, cart path had bare areas and broken concrete resulting in a very rough ride.

Getting better
I’ve played this course dozens of times since it opened. Over the past few years it’s truly been neglected! But you can see it’s got new owners. They are already making a difference. I played here last fall and it’s already in a LOT better condition! The greens had grass and they are repairing the cart paths. Keep up the work- it’s making a huge difference for a gorgeous layout!!!

Rough shape
Not well manicured. One green not playable and a couple in bad shape. Challenging course, pretty but in rough condition.

Course
Front nine excellent excellent shape, but back nine was in terrible shape from tee to some really terrible greens. Back nine seemed totally neglected. Most all widened bridges had a terrible drop off for the golf cart and really hurt my neck every time.
