About
Crescent Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton is Arnold Palmer's only public course in the area. It is conveniently located just a few minutes west of the bridge leaving Hilton Head Island. Opened in 2000, the course has quickly gained a reputation as being one of the Lowcountry's best. Sprawling across a lush landscape blanketed with century-old oaks and towering pines, the layout is as scenic as it is challenging. While the generous fairways may be player friendly, the difficult approaches to the elevated, well bunkered greens are anything but. The large, pristine white sand bunkers were designed in true Palmer-style, closely following the natural undulations of the land. The gently rolling terrain is unique for the area. Crescent Pointe Golf Club's elevation changes aren't dramatic but they do provide some subtle, but tricky undulations in the greens that make it hard to find a flat lie.

Bad Course & Disappointing Experience
Crescent Pointe was the first course I ever played when visiting Hilton Head a number of years ago. It was a great course; however, it has changed for the worst over the years. I spoke highly to of the course to my golfing buddies yesterday, and we arrived to a complete disaster of a course. We paid over $80 each. What did we get? We were not informed until arriving that the back 9 was being aerated (tee boxes and fairways). As such, we had to play the front 9 twice. The tee boxes and greens were in TERRIBLE condition on the front too. I was shocked based on my previous experience the poor condition of the course. The course needs a lot of help. Unfortunately, it will not be on my list of courses to play in the future. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!

Biltz
The course needed a lot of improvements
Not what it was two years ago we also had to play first nine twice was not to told before booking
Also as we started on the second Nine they had a ladies scrambled an we were not informed course needs a lot of repair will not play again until it updated
So sorry fir the home owners it was once a great course to play

Horrible golf experience, poor manners from staff at check in, didntnot communicate thatt the back nine was closed for aeratio, did not post alert,
1. Back nine closed, no aeration alert notification.
2. Rude behavior at check in, could not find my reservation, very unfriendly.
3. Satff did not inform me the had a shot gun start that dropped foursomes on my tee box on no.3, second time around the front nine as back nine was closed.

Conditions were very poor. Layout is very good but course conditions totally detracted from the experience. Very disappointing

Arnold wouldn’t play there
Ok design but not in good shape . They need to take Arnold Palmers name off the course signage.

Challenging but

Terrible Coonditions
I have been traveling to Hilton Head Island for 27 years now and have also been to Myrtle Beach many times as well. This is the worst course I have ever played in SC, The course condition was deplorable, The “greens” were awful and were dead with sand over diseased sections. Don’t waste your money!
