Course is good. But..
Our tee time was at 12:45 but didn't tee off until 1:30. Pace of play was fine once we got going, but because of the late start we barely finished before dark. A number of groups behind us had to quit due to darkness.
Enjoyable
Had the 7am tee time, so pace was awesome. Course was in good shape, nice greens and tee boxes, fairways a bit thin, but expected this time of year. Staff very friendly. Only have a few GPS carts, so if it's your first time, ask for one.
Slow play
There were 3 old guys holding up the pace of play. We teed off at 1:24 and finished at 6 pm close to dark. I saw a ranger but nothing changed. These men were fishing for balls and their pace was horrendous
I love this course but today was not good. Hard to play a consistent round when you are waiting 5 minutes to take a shot.
Other than that everything else was fine as usual
A fun day
The course is in good shape. Just a few spots on the fairway but good shape. Greens are very good and the ball rolled pretty true. I would play again.
We had an afternoon tee time and were 20-25 minutes late teeing off and I presume it was because of pace of play. We only play here while visiting in January.
Go
Played today, 1/2/21 for my son's 18th birthday and we tee'd off just after 7am.. Staff, conditions, and course layout were all great. Green's true and smooth, fairways and tee boxes well groomed. Truly enjoyed the round.
Friendly Place
Everyone was friendly and helpful.
The pace was slow probably because of the time of year.
There’s a couple of REALLY challenging holes with a good mix of 3and4 par holes.
Much better
I played this course about 5 years ago and it was a goat pasture. I really didn't want to play there again but my friend booked a tee time so I went. to my surprise the course is in great shape. Staff was very nice. I defiantly play there again.
Christmas Chill
Great course and happy they were open on Christmas Day. Met the owner and his family who gave his staff the day off so they could be with their families. Also drove me around trying to find a lost club. We will be back to this family owned course.
Best deal for this time of year
Course conditions not too bad. Best deal for this time of year. Definitely worth playing. Back 9 has some really nice holes.
Fun Course but zero amenities in the AM
Had 7:15 tee time. Got there 30mins before and no coffee or food. Lady in the restaurant arrived mins before our tee time. No beverage cart at all during our entire time of play. After 18 (10:30) we dropped our cart and found food elsewhere. Thank god for the extremely discounted greens fees found on “TeeOff”. If we come back we will bring our own food and drink I guess. Otherwise course was in pretty good condition for high season.
For anyone else reading this, none of what is written here is true. We open our restaurant each morning at 7AM. Coffee is available earlier than that. We have a cart person on the course 7 days per week, and a halfway house that serves food and drink. And for the best prices, visit our website at www.greenfield.golf No credit card, no fees, awesome prices.
Thanks for all the amazing comments about our course. Sorry about the slow group in front of you. Next time ask the ranger to see if you can play through. Tony
