Links at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort

We played this course 5 years ago and enjoyed it.

The most recent experience was below average and disappointing. The pace of play was horrendous as there was no one following proper tee times and we were told to just go when you see an opening. We got stuck behind two very slow foursomes and there was no marshall on the course at all,.( they probably did not want to pay for this position)

The course conditions were very dry as they do not seem to water the fairways. We golfed another course not on the resort , a couple of days later which had beautiful fairways and superior service and friendliness.We can confrirm the lack of care at Sandestin Links and customer service.

Sandestin resort has changed owners many times from what I haved heard. It is quite evident from the downward condition of the resort itself and the condition of it's golf courses , I would golf somewhere else in the area.

Compared to previous visits the course condition was not nearly what it was even last year

I would say that this course would be much better when there has been rainfall because it was so dry. The pace of play was very poor on the back nine, on one hole we had four groups. There was no Marshall that could’ve expedited play.

Most tee boxes have bare spots and voids to stand in. Greens are inconsistent. Sand in bunkers very compressed and grass growing in some bunkers. The golf course is not in good condition.

Little tricky finding clubhouse for the first time since there are a few courses on the resort but after checking in they had us paired with another couple which is normal but let us play as a 2 some which was great. Fun course. Price was fair. Would play again

One of my favorite courses in the area. Greens were good and course was beautiful. Views of the Bay also are also great. Will be back for sure !

Scenery is the reason to play. A shame to not keep this layout in better shape. Lots of play and thus plenty of revenue.

Put your driver away. This course requires accurate shot placement. Play the Course not the clubs. Narrow fairways and sharp doglegs makes for some interesting challenges. The course runs along the bay on several holes making it visually awesome, and on a windy day anyone's guess where to hit the ball.

But they have really let this course go. What a shame. It could be a great course.

A lot of water so you have to think about your shots. The course was in good shape except for the fact the greens had just been treated with sand.

Have to Play the Course and not the clubs. The layout is challenging and requires proper accuracy and distance control. Some holes along the bay can be windy depending on the weather. It was a lot of fun and a good value. Not surrounded by houses which made the environment relaxing.

Got stuck behind a five some as a.single. One of the players was learning how to play. Where were the marshals? Greens needed attention also. One of my favorites in Destin. Will not play again
