The Links Course at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort is the ultimate in risk-reward golf. The architect, Tom Jackson, routed five holes along the bay and then wound the course inland across rolling undulations. In order to prevail against the blustery Gulf Coast winds, accuracy and proper club selection are essential, making it a true shot-maker's golf course. In addition to being right along the shores of the Choctawhatchee Bay, the Baytowne Marina serves as a backdrop to the course, providing even more stunning views of the Emerald Coast. Of the four championship golf courses that Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort offers, the Links is one of the original two and also one of the most popular. The layout offers a unique links experience that all skill levels can enjoy, especially since it features four different sets of tees.

Very picturesque course. Just the right amount of challenge

We enjoyed this course very much. I would definitely play it again. One negative is that the driving range was irons only, so you couldn’t hit you driver to warm up at all. Some of the staff was very friendly and informative but others were really more interested in avoiding you.

Challenging course but fair—good condition

The course shows its age with the clubhouse complex and a very poor range. However , on course the conditions were good, and GPS really helped a first time visitor. Water is everywhere but not as intimidating in person as when viewing at the course guide and GPS. I was driving the ball well ( for an 18 handicapper), and avoided most trouble, however my playing partner probably lost 12-14 balls, so be forewarned.
