Hawarden Golf Club

This is a testing course. Many of the holes are blind and when playing for the first time there is no course guide! It’s very hilly and I found it too demanding for the first time player. Members were very friendly as was the initial meeting but this is not a club I would consider joining if you and a learner. It’s a demanding course, well kept but definitely for the young and fit

Lovely course in great condition. Coffee machine in clubhouse a bit naff. Paper cups. Expect a bit better in a major club.

The course played well,but it was a very wet and windy day so not seen in its best light.Pro and catering staff very helpful

Course lovely great for exercise as a little hilly in places . Some picturesque greens had a great day

Great days golf yesterday really enjoyed the course. Third time playing this year.

One of the best course I've played greens were in great condition only down fall was pace of play we were stuck behind a 6 ball in a comp and would t let us play through so we had to miss 2. Holes to skip ahead of them

Not for the faint hearted; stamina definitely required! Extremely well structured and looked after. Enjoyed every shot.

Firstly - what a welcome by the pro. Really nice guy who made us feel welcome and even passed on a few decent tips to help us enjoy the round.

Good test of golf, greens in great condition, fairways tidy and wide enough to tempt you to open up.

Would definitely recommend.

Undulating and challenging holes. Very nice scenery. Greens rolled well. 12-16 maybe slightly bland compared to other holes but what a great finishing par3. Superb value for money.

Hawarden golf course, plays quite tight throughout but does have a few holes which you can open up on. Really good condition and the greens were excellent. Staff 100% and very helpful beforehand which was a huge help. Buggies are available as it is very steep for the front few holes (uphill). We didn't use the facilities in the club house so can't comment on those sorry. Would I play there again? Absolutely. Well done all at Hawarden golf club.

The course was in very good condition and provided a varied lovely walk in the countryside. However, the greens perhaps a little dry for their own good. Overall a very pleasant round.

Great little parkland course with some challenging and tight holes. Kept in excellent condition, lovely setting and superb value for money. Very friendly Pro.

Incredible scenery amazing variety on every hole enjoyed everything about course be booking again very soon
