Baytowne at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort

The course was soggy in most of the fairways and roughs. The greens were the same and it was like putting on a shag carpet. It rain the day before and I expected it to be much better by the next day but it was not the case. Not a well drainage system at this course. They lay out of the course was great. This is probably a better course when it dries. They also paired my wife and I with a couple that had no golf etiquettes and would tee off twice for each person at the tee and sometimes hit two balls when they didn't like their first shot. They should think about pairing people based on handicap instead of time slots just to make extra money....

Overall I do like this course, but the greens need a lot of work. I was warned by the pro shop that the greens didn’t come in as expected which was good to know prior to the round. The greens were dead but somehow very fluffy like they hadn’t been rolled in weeks. Some rolling would do these greens wonders. It had rained the few days prior to me playing so the course was a little soggy but nothing too bad. They closed the driving range because of the rain the few days prior which was frustrating because I wasn’t warmed up until hole 5-6. The layout is great and pretty challenging. Definitely some target golf off of the tee. I would recommend relocating the blue tees because there is quite a yardage gap between the tips and the blues. Playing from the blues makes the course too short and from the tips is too long for someone of my skill level. I would play here again but only if the greens are taken care of.

Received a reduced rate because greens were aerated recently. Aerated would’ve been tolerable but these greens were long and had many weeds. Definitely disappointed.

The course has plenty of hazards to challenge you. There is a lot of crab grass and the greens are VERY slow. Pace of play was nice at 3.5 hours.

Everything was great except the greens were not in good shape. Great value for the price.

The course, other than greens, was in good shape. The greens were very bumpy and slow.

The aeration of the greens two weeks ago was not the main problem with the greens. They were HORRIBLE with 3-4 shades of green and brown on ALL OF THE GREENS. the only thing I do well playing golf is my putting and chipping. It was IMPOSSIBLE to do either well today. Plus the cost was $40 over what the course was worth.

Fairways , collars were in excellent condition.

Most tee boxes were also fine . There were a couple that could’ve been mowed closer . Grass was excellent on tees.

Greens were thick , grainy , very slow and sometimes unpredictable.

I really like the course . Hopefully greens will get sorted out .

The greens are as bad as any I have paid to play. They were slow and bumpy and needed to be rolled . Soft sandy greens need to be rolled twice a week to be consistent and smooth. The green speed couldn't have been more than a 7.

This course could be a fun one to play. Not too long at 6700-ish, but the greens made scoring pretty difficult. Recent aeration didn’t help, but not sure it would have mattered based on the grain. I would come back only if I knew the greens weren’t punched. Relatively cheap for the beach, but think it’s worth it to go play courses like Kelly Plantation / Windswept Dunes with better green maintenance.

Corse layout and staff are great. Cart paths and sand traps need work.

Greens were punched about 10 days ago and heavily too dressed. I’m certain they had not been mowed in a week and they charged us full price to play. Will never go back

Course was nice enough but greens were horrible condition for the price and course of this caliber. Impossible to make any kind d of lengthy putt so bumpy and patchy horrible.

We play courses in Ohio for $35 that make this course look like garbage. Almost every green felt like putting on thick carpet. Fairways were ok. Tee boxes hadn’t been cut in days, same as the greens. The course definitely needed some watering and it probably would’ve played better. Staff was friendly.

Course was ok but greens were terrible no way to make any kind of lengthy putt.
