Baytowne at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort

Fairways are reasonable but serval have patches of crabgrass and unacceptable. Fairways are the best thing they have going for now along with layout which I really like a lot.

Tee Boxes are ok but still make you shake your head on some holes.

Greens are terrible and some have brown spots and other grass types. They will punch the greens around 8/14 and play will be totally unacceptable for a month.

Sand Traps are unacceptable and need sand. I’m talking over 50%

Dude who checked us in wasn’t proud to be at work. Zero personality. Course was packed which was fine but the condition of a $120+ green fee was pretty awful. I don’t know the condition of other courses around here but this one wasn’t it. Tons of crab grass and burnt greens. One of the holes on the back 9 is absolutely embarrassing with the amount of damage to it. Honestly wouldn’t play here again for the price. This is a $40 course at best.

At these greens fees rates, my group was very surprised at the poor condition of the greens and tee boxes, which clearly had not been mowed is some time. The 13th hole in particular was a jungle from the tips to the flag. The greens fees "included" range balls, but the range was closed (at 8am!) for "mowing and cutting" and was still closed when we played our round along side it at 9am. Sandestin is starting to take on the characteristics of Seascape down the road, which is not a compliment.

Played here for 30yrs Course is in horrible condition. Not worth the $100 price tag .Greens are not good along with sand traps. Fairways are in good shape .

Course was in awful shape. Played same track a year ago and wasn’t in as poor of condition.

No issue with the course except the greens are some of the worst around. You won’t have much of a chance hitting any 1-putts with how slow, weedy, and tall the grass is.

Overall the course was in good shape. The greens were sanded which made putting a challenge. The driving range was closed when we arrived so we couldn’t warm up. But for the most part we enjoyed the course. If there was a major drawback was the starter coming out midway through the front 9 and scolding us for slow play. He could have just told us to pick up the pace and we would have been fine with that. At my age I don’t need to be scolded by someone else, just talk to me about the situation.thought the course was fair and in good shape.

Very disappointing. Course condition is pretty poor. Tee boxes not maintained and greens are showing a few weeds.

It’s “vacation” golf but I’ve played better course conditions on the regular for $45… for triple the amount at a minimum I would expect the greens to be good. Nope… patchy, literally different lengths and grains everywhere, and even on the good parts… incredibly slow… I’ve never had to hit a 4 foot putt that hard. But always nice to get a round in.

The staff were all polite and cordial. The greens were not in the best of shape, but currently, few courses greens are any better.

Didn’t get to play and still had to pay $20 to reserve it

As a local to this area, this is by far the worst course in the emerald coast for this price point. With the exception of the starter, the rest of the staff was not friendly at all. In the end, save your money or go somewhere else for the same price. The sister course at the links is very good and the staff is amazing over there.

At least the weather was nice…

Coarse was in good shape after all the rain. Would have liked to have had carts 90°, but understand that it was too wet for that.

Wish they let players know the greens were being top dressed and maybe cut a break on pricing because of it.

The greens were rough and need help. Can’t see any evidence of attempts to improve them. Also, the paths need maintenance with quite a few big cracks. Lots of deferred maintenance.
