About
Baytowne Golf Club at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort is routed from the beach to the bay, providing stunning views along the way. The course rolls across the few elevation changes that the area has to offer. Although it opened in 1984, the golf course didn't reach its peak until it underwent extensive renovation in 2005, which were carried out by the original designer, Tom Jackson. The layout features rolling fairways lined with mature pines that are generous and times but can be tight when you least expect it. The large, undulating greens can also play faster than what you might be expecting. Water, which comes into play on 12 holes, is a prominent feature of Baytowne Golf Club as are the numerous bunkers strategically placed throughout.

Expect a5 hour round
The courses are well maintained except for several tee boxes that need rebuilding broken up cart paths and broken down sea walls. They do nothing to speed up slow play. Expect a 4 1/2 to 5 hour round consistently. Wait on every shot.
Classic Resort Course
$110 for the summer is absurd. Course layout is very cool as it goes through the property. Fairways and tee boxes are fine. Greens are soooo soft and hairy and not much conpelxtity to them. But that’s most resort courses so
BAYTOWN
Enjoyed the course. The putting green was faster than the greens with several short putts as a result. Enjoyed the course and will play again in the future.

2023 Destin Trip
Course was in great shape. Round was about 4.5 hours. Not too bad for a crowded day. Pace was good. Great Experience!

Slow Bumpy Greens
Course was ok. Greens were punched some time ago but are very slow to heal. Greens were very bumpy, very slow and wouldn’t hold the line very. We were a foursome playing behind a threesome and had to wait on almost every shot, while the twosome behind us hit into us several times.

Highly recommend
Had best day of vacation here. Played two other courses before this one and there was no comparison. Course was challenging but immaculate. Staff was super friendly. If I had another day I would definitely play again.

Very poor shape
We played this course vacationing in Miramar. Staff was extremely friendly, but the course left a lot to desire. Greens were like shag carpet and so slow that you couldn't even get the ball to the hole on a 15 foot putt. If you did hit it hard enough, the ball looked like it was dribbling on the greens as they were about as smooth as the rough. Overall a quircky layout with some ridiculously hard and long holes and some very nicely laid out holes. There are better places to play when in Destin.

Beautiful
Really enjoyed my round here. Played as a single and got paired with 3 others. Course was beautiful, really plush fairways, fun layout, and scenic. They had just aerated a few weeks earlier, so the greens were almost good to go- just hairy from post aeration. I’d love to play it again when the greens are rolling. Highly recommend!

Easy check in
I played the course 3 weeks ago and paid full price. I used Golfnow app and got two tee times for the price of one. All I had to do is show the app and I was off.

Nice layout
I really liked the layout. The greens had been aerated recently so they were slow. The starter was very nice. The check in staff seemed a little distracted and not overly friendly.. i would go again.

Great Layout! Aerated Greens
Love the layout on this course and with the exception of the greens it was in great shape!
However the greens had been aerated at some point in the past few weeks and were very fuzzy and almost impossible to putt well on.
