About
Baytowne Golf Club at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort is routed from the beach to the bay, providing stunning views along the way. The course rolls across the few elevation changes that the area has to offer. Although it opened in 1984, the golf course didn't reach its peak until it underwent extensive renovation in 2005, which were carried out by the original designer, Tom Jackson. The layout features rolling fairways lined with mature pines that are generous and times but can be tight when you least expect it. The large, undulating greens can also play faster than what you might be expecting. Water, which comes into play on 12 holes, is a prominent feature of Baytowne Golf Club as are the numerous bunkers strategically placed throughout.

Enjoy playing at Baytowne
We really enjoy Baytowne golf course. We’d play it more often, but it’s just too expensive, as we only play 9 holes.
Wish they’d offer a locals discount, especially during off season.

Good course
Course layout was challenging . Par 3s very short though. Would play it again. Managed well.

Condition issues/6 player groups
We found numerous leaks in the course with large puddles of water surrounding the irrigation systems, greens were not maintained well at all, weather has been great for 4 days. No excuse for this. I think they need to have someone look at this and fix it. They also allowed 6 players in groups. Pace of play was an issue. Only supposed to be 4. Raven which was only ten dollars more would have never looked like that.

Great Staff and course layout.
Overall the experience was great. Luckily I got a "Tee Off" deal and did not pay the full $105.00 green fee. The greens on most holes had been overcome with some sort of native grass. The were pretty slow and do need some attention. Fairways and bunkers were in good shape. I would recommend if you are in the area and can get on for less than $80.00

This place is long in the tooth, expecially for a resort course. It is mor like a dedent Munni. NO range balls (however there were about 50 balls on the first fairway)
Don't think you ard playing a nice course, the greens are extremely slow and lots of weeds on course.

Played behind a sixsome
Course was in good shape except for one fairway (think it was 13). Greens were slow, bumpy bermuda. The only black mark on the course was the 6 some that was playing 2 groups ahead. My foursome had to wait on every hole. Ended up being a five hour round. It was surprising that a resort course didn’t have a Marshall driving around to maintain pace of play.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Fair track
The fairways are good size in landing areas with not too much trouble. Long distance from green to tee. They said we played to the bay, but it wasn’t that close. Our cart died at 15th hole. Had to call for a new one which was brought right away. Overall, I would try the other 2 courses before playing this one again. Middle of aeration season and the greens hadn’t come out of it yet
