Raven at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort

I read several reviews on course, I experienced some of the similar issues, bunkers were very inconsistent, greens were just ok but they had been aerorated around the first of month, so you have to expect time to heal. The seat on my cart had a big rip on it and every time I got in it would scratch my leg, very unacceptable for a golf course charging these rates. The guy at front desk was not very inviting just name and tee time is all he ask. Not welcome glad you’re here or anything close. The starter was not friendly at all, no information giving about coarse was provided, again name and tee time. I will not play this course again when visiting I understand there are other courses in the area that would be joyful to play. Please do not play this course.

Great layout absolutely beautiful course. Unfortunately we played a coupe week post punch and the greens weren’t where I anticipated them to be but I would assume they perfect post punch. We were just too early.

Course was still recovering from aeration 3 weeks earlier. That said, cups had not been recut in several days and tee boxes were not well cared for in general. Clean cut cups, flat and trim tee boxes, and care of the fringe would help appearances and playability. Need consistent Marshall appearances..

In general, the course was in good shape, and I usually enjoy playing Ravin, but the greens were beginning to heal from aeration but you couldn’t tell by the green fee.

Also, at the first tee box, the Marshall made me share a cart with a rando they paired me up with, because they were ‘running low on carts.’ I had take all my stuff out of the cart they gave me and move it over to his. He said they ran out the day before - which means they chose to overbook anyway. It was a bad experience at a normally good course.

For the four courses at Sandestin Resort, Raven has always been my favorite. I got a good deal because of aerated greens but they weren’t as bad as I expected at all. Bad conditions, but course still played well. I definitely would recommend this course if you’re in between playing a cheaper round and places like Kelly Plantation or Regatta Bay that have steep prices.

Greens recently aeireated. Good price. SMALL putting green for TWO courses. SMALL driving range for TWO courses..

Course was in amazing condition and very challenging. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area!

Greens were better than expected. Played early and course was on damp side.
