About
Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort offers four 18-hole, championship courses designed by three renowned architects. Raven Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., was carefully carved through marshes, native wetlands, and towering pine forests. Jones created a layout that is hailed for being both modern and traditional. It is also notable for how it seamlessly flows into the surrounding nature. The golf course offers plenty of variety both in shot options and visual scenery. The diverse holes are accented by dramatic changes in color and texture throughout the landscape. Water comes into play frequently and there are a number of strategically placed sand traps. Golfers are presented with a myriad of different ways to play each hole, which means thoughtful strategy is a necessity. The golf course's large, undulating greens also make proper club selection essential.

Great Course but they don’t know how to take care of tif eagle. Way way too much grass on their slow slow greens.

Expecting More
The important stuff first. The course was beautiful and well maintained. The fairways were like carpets. Only criticism of course itself was that the greens are very inconsistent. One green lightening fast and the next shaggy slow.
Now the issues as I saw them, these may not matter to others. 1. In the pro shop it was explained that we could buy drinks from bar to start then, even though we don’t come back to clubhouse, we could purchase drinks near the turn at snack shack. We teed off at 1:50 reached shack at 3:35 to find it closed.
2. The mentioned drink cart came by when we’re on 6 then once more while on 16. Too long in between in 90deg Florida heat. If this is the norm the club should supply water coolers at tee boxes.
3. Club guys, and pro shop personnel were friendly and accommodating. Not so much for the starter who was curt and supplied little info about the course.
Final summary: Had a great day overall, course was demanding but very playable. If you can get a deal or care less about money this is a good round. I don’t see this as a $150 course or experience. $79 or $89 yes.
Greens were darn near perfect
Course was in in great shape, as usual, but those greens were almost perfect.

Fun Track somewhat challenging
Very nice layout, somewhat challenging. Good course conditions although the greens are quite slow and very grainy for my liking. Grass was healthy though and I understand they are getting ready to punch plus with the heat. I believe they get a lot of rounds out there so that may be the reason they keep them longer.
Practice area is not great, slim pickings on balls when I got there. The putting green had some weeds on it also. Staff seemed very pleasant the starter was very knowledgeable.
Note: the course design is a bit weird around 6 & 7 - 15 & 16 it just doesn’t flow very well there. We got a little mixed up as to we’re to go and I’m sure we weren’t the first ones.

Very nice course with a great layout however, the cart paths are in very poor condition and need attention

Good course, greens were dissapointing
I played Raven a few years ago and remembered it to be in a little bit better shape than it is now. It's a nice course and has a challenging but fun layout. The fairways and rough were in good shape. Bunkers were pretty bad, not a lot of sand but it has been raining a lot so not much they can do. The greens were pretty disappointing. Very slow, a lot of brown spots, just not what I would typically expect for a $150+ course. I would play here again during a less rainy season; would probably be in better shape.

Raven golf club
I was super excited to play this course and ended up not having the best time. The bottom fell out and it poured on us the entire time we tried to play. On top of that my girlfriend and I heard the staff making rude comments about us while we were going to get our cart. A nice course, but I wouldn’t pay that much to play there again
