About
Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort offers four 18-hole, championship courses designed by three renowned architects. Raven Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., was carefully carved through marshes, native wetlands, and towering pine forests. Jones created a layout that is hailed for being both modern and traditional. It is also notable for how it seamlessly flows into the surrounding nature. The golf course offers plenty of variety both in shot options and visual scenery. The diverse holes are accented by dramatic changes in color and texture throughout the landscape. Water comes into play frequently and there are a number of strategically placed sand traps. Golfers are presented with a myriad of different ways to play each hole, which means thoughtful strategy is a necessity. The golf course's large, undulating greens also make proper club selection essential.

Slow slow greens
Compared to similar courses in the area, these greens were very slow. Not fun.

WASH YOUR RANGE BALLS!!!!!!
One of the best courses in the area. Unfortunately, the arrival didn't start off as anticipated. Not a single person at the bag drop to help and golf balls on the driving range were filthy with not a care in the world. A whole range filled with guests and every basket was filled with mud balls. I don't know what happened to the service, but it is severely lacking. Not a manager in sight on a busy weekend.

So love this course
I so love this course! It starts with the RTJ design that makes it challenging, but fun. The course is always in great shape and staff is super friendly. If you haven't played here, then don't wait any longer.

Pace of play was terrible, had ball hunters holding up play. 4 groups on last hole!!. 2 hr 30 min back nine. Ever heard of the Marshal concept??.

It‘s peak season in March at the Raven
It‘s hard to get into the resort area, where the Raven is located. Traffic and guard check causes delays, means plan extra time to meet your tee time. Golf play was nice, but slow. Layout and course conditions are great. Water comes into play a lot. Would come back to the Sandestin courses when in the area.

Nice course, odd/crappy extras
Greens heavily sanded during spring break. Saw drink cart girl 2 times in round. Carts had glitch that kept us from fairways in perfect conditions. Fun layout. Curious what it’s like in normal conditions.

Great Course and Value
The Raven did not disappoint. From the start through the finish. Truly great experience. Course was in ideal condition and finished in 3.5 hours. Will definitely return to play again.
