About
Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort offers four 18-hole, championship courses designed by three renowned architects. Raven Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., was carefully carved through marshes, native wetlands, and towering pine forests. Jones created a layout that is hailed for being both modern and traditional. It is also notable for how it seamlessly flows into the surrounding nature. The golf course offers plenty of variety both in shot options and visual scenery. The diverse holes are accented by dramatic changes in color and texture throughout the landscape. Water comes into play frequently and there are a number of strategically placed sand traps. Golfers are presented with a myriad of different ways to play each hole, which means thoughtful strategy is a necessity. The golf course's large, undulating greens also make proper club selection essential.

Birthday Golf
Played The Raven as part of my birthday trip. I enjoyed the golf course. Only thing that I would change is the greens. I thought that they were a little sticky.. They rolled out well except for around the cup, everything slowed up the last 20 inches.

Nice Track
Raven is a great course with a RTJ layout that is fun and challenging. The course is in great condition with the greens rolling true. Definitely worth the visit if you are in the area.

Bad Timing
This is a great layout but it was so wet that it was cart path only re carts. As a result, the pace of play was quite slow. Nonetheless, I could play this course often. Considering the conditions, it was in good shape.

Unimpressed!
I’ve been traveling to the panhandle of FL for 30 yrs for vacation and never played at any of the Sandestin Resort courses, I figured it was time. Driving range had no grass, you are hitting off dirt with balls that are old, cut, and dirty ( bad first impression). Course was jammed since 730 according to the stated. Greens were very slow, compared to my home course in Houston, and loads of ball marks on the greens. Apparently golfers here don’t repair ball marks or rake traps. Tee boxes and fairways were in good shape.
No Marshall’s on course to keep place of play. 1 and done.

I’ve played most of the public courses between Panama City and Destin. This was my third time back and it’s easily my favorite.

The Raven in Destin is a must
Great course, fun layout, always in amazing shape. Love the range is grass and warm up balls come with the round. This place has tees for a levels of players so everyone can be comfortable. If you’re in town give it a shot you will not be disappointed.
