Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort offers four 18-hole, championship courses designed by three renowned architects. Raven Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., was carefully carved through marshes, native wetlands, and towering pine forests. Jones created a layout that is hailed for being both modern and traditional. It is also notable for how it seamlessly flows into the surrounding nature. The golf course offers plenty of variety both in shot options and visual scenery. The diverse holes are accented by dramatic changes in color and texture throughout the landscape. Water comes into play frequently and there are a number of strategically placed sand traps. Golfers are presented with a myriad of different ways to play each hole, which means thoughtful strategy is a necessity. The golf course's large, undulating greens also make proper club selection essential.

It‘s peak season in March at the Raven

It‘s hard to get into the resort area, where the Raven is located. Traffic and guard check causes delays, means plan extra time to meet your tee time. Golf play was nice, but slow. Layout and course conditions are great. Water comes into play a lot. Would come back to the Sandestin courses when in the area.

Greens heavily sanded during spring break. Saw drink cart girl 2 times in round. Carts had glitch that kept us from fairways in perfect conditions. Fun layout. Curious what it’s like in normal conditions.

Enjoyed the front nine. Par 3 holes on backed everyone up. By 15th hole we had to wait on every shot due to a slow foursome in front of us. There was a foursome behind pushing us. No ranger to push foursome in front. I honestly did not enjoy the last 6 holes at all. No fun to wait, rush, wait, rush. Wait some more then try and hurry’

Lack of cart boys this year, compared to the past. Not just one experience. Had to unload our clubs ourselves after golf lots of times, because no one was around to help after golfing. You need more cart boys on site, but overall golf experience was very good

The course was in good condition except the tee boxes. Could be due to being early Spring.

We were disappointed to be told when we arrived 45 minutes before our tee time that the practice range was closed due to a women’s collegiate tournament. I’m very happy for The Raven to host this event and these young ladies deserve the practice facility. I would have liked to have received an email notification prior to arriving early hoping to practice a bit. Also, the Ravens Nest at #10 was closed. Bummer.

Otherwise, very nice facility and I will return.
